Absolutely in agreement with everyone who pointed out that men should value women regardless of whether or not they are/want to be a mother. We are human beings, not baby vending machines for your LeGaCY. The tone of his message was "wow look what she went through to birth MY child".

I posted this to showcase that this is the amount of pain a woman has to go through for her man to appreciate her? And most of the time, they STILL don't!!! Men only seem to "empathize" with women when it directly effects them. I've seen men post vile things about women and when you say: " what if someone said that to your mom, daughter, or sister?" Thats when it seems to resonate with them. It's sad.

But if men went through fraction of the struggles women go through on a daily basis, including childbirth, societal expectations, prejudice, sexual harassment, etc. I guarantee you if you asked them to split everything's 50/50 they'd think you're insane.

Saw a post on a subreddit the other day about women giving birth and how hard it was... and ofc, there was a comment on the post with a ton of upvotes from a man, "But it's hard on meeeen, tooooo!". His point was his wife's attention was split between him and the baby, and he missed her. Which sounds very cute, but a. Really doesn't fucking compete with "risked her actual life" and b. SO TAKE CARE OF THE BABY, TOO, YOU KNOB. You're not her second child she has to entertain!

And then people rushed to say, "Oh, men's feelings are important too!" instead of saying, "Nope. We're talking about women, in a forum for women, so knock that shit off."

I'm glad he's come to the realization that not only men have worth. Now he needs to work on realizing our worth doesn't only come from giving birth. Women aren't baby machines. Our value shouldn't only be seen in that one category.

It would be pretty weird to congratulate a man based on high sperm counts wouldn't it?
