This is how I feel about all the hate Cuties is getting tbh. I'm not going to defend the film, I'm really disappointed with the execution because I don't think that actually sexualising young girls is a good way to protest about just that. But people are up in arms about it.

Yet I bet a significant number of those people watch barely legal porn and defend it as "well they're legally adults so it's okay" without questioning whether someone who has only just turned 18 is actually capable of making an informed decision, nor thinking about WHY someone that young ends up in porn in the first place. They'll find it funny when children are watching porn before they've even hit the double digits and be making jokes. They'll defend child sex robots and cartoon child porn because "it's not real children being harmed", even though the very portrayal is harmful. They'll make comments about how sexy some underage female celebrity is. They won't care about teenage girls being told they should start an OnlyFans when they turn 18. They won't question age gap relationships where the girl is literally still a teenager and the man is old enough to be her father.

If they're willing to be outraged about Cuties but not willing to question EVERY other example of young girls being sexualised in our society (and there are so fucking many examples), won't question the things they enjoy, and won't criticise behaviour coming from MEN, they are not to be trusted. They don't care about protecting children. They don't care about girls. They don't care about women. They don't care about sexual abuse. They only care when it suits them, read: when someone they don't like does it. It reminds me all too much of when right wingers get outraged about immigrant men committing rapes, all while painting rape accusers as untrustworthy and defending rapist who are the "right" skin colour.

I disagree with the "reddit loves hating on pedophiles" portion, but I do agree that there is a comparison to be made between BDSM, rape, and pedophilia.

Any fantasy that is violent and harms another human being is dangerous and should not be normalized. The more you normalize having this desire or act it out with another "consenting" adult, the more you will be addicted and obsessed. The more you will be consumed by it and tempted to give in. It will slowly progress into wanting to try "the real thing" on a real woman or a real child.

In that sense, I do agree that they're both dangerous and should not be normalized.

Excellent! Also this part "they just need someone to bash"... This is so true. I knew who guy who is in prison. And everytime he brags about beaten "chomo" (aka child molester) but the same guy also said that I can accuse him of rape easily if I sleep with him and when I told him that he does not have my consent to talk about His sexual fantaisies with me he said "I'm not going to censor myself for you". So he felt good that altough he is a murderer, that at least he was not a "chomo" and that reducing women to sex objects against their will was suddenly not abuse.

Men pretend to hate pedos, but they are huge hypocrites, they just want to look cool, but deep down they don't give a shit about sexual boundaries and fetishize young women and girls.

Technically - they are listed as disorders in the DSM that is used in psychiatry/psychology. They are called paraphilic disorders and include such things as sadism, voyeurism, etc.
