I saw a refrigerator magnet with this slogan while at a shop earlier. I was immediately pissed upon seeing it and reminded of how much I despise this slogan. This slogan to me is the epitome of everything wrong with modern/third wave feminism and how damaging it is to legit gender equality. How is this a statement promoting equality and how is it not a blatant rallying cry for female supremacy? I view it as absolutely no different from slogans like "white power" or "make America white again," and think it's pretty much just a female-centric version of sayings like that. Supremacy is never equality, and supremacy is precisely what this statement is promoting. In these divisive times, slogans like this only further drive people apart. The future isn't male or female, it's equal with both genders having the same rights and opportunities. As someone who's politics are very heavily Left-leaning for the most part, I despise this statement and feel it's the precise opposite of what Leftist politics are all about.
