You're right. Sure, it benefits top-tier men much more, but it's not like it was easier for an average man to get casual sex in the past. However, it's just not good enough. Everything is relative. Like, a worker never made as much money as before, but before CEO would make 20 times their salary and now it's 200 times. And prices are relatively higher. This sort of thinking applies to the sexual market as well. The gap between top-tier men and average men increased and then average men are supposed to marry those women who could sleep around.

So yeah, it's not good enough that average men can get sex easier than before, when they have much less of it that before relative to top-tier men and women.

You need to establish stuff like why women having more sexual freedom results in them being more willing to have casual sex with an average guy. You can't just say they do as that's literally the core of the argument.

I think you might be using "average" way too literally too. People don't mean a guy with 1.99 legs when they say an average guy.

Misogyny isn’t an automatic disqualifier from sex, considering that studies have shown Women are attracted to ‘benevolent sexism’ and as long as a guy isn’t overtly shooting his mouth about Women’s issues, I’ve seen lots of thugs, bullies and unpleasant guys be successful over the years.

This is a lovely, well written post, and it would be accurate if the word "average man" in the title and post was changed to "top tier man"; the advent of these technological changes and sexual liberation movement have had the dual effect of increasing opportunities for casual sex but also exponentially increasing women's options, and thus raising their standards.

I don't know if the top 20% men number is accurate, but let's say +/- 10% either way. For the top tier men it's easier than ever to get casual sex, and for the average man casual sex is rare and difficult to come by at best, and inaccessible at worst.

Not that I really think that's a bad thing personally. I think casual sex is the equivalent of recreational hard drug use, nothing more than chasing an unfulfilling high. And society would be better off if people only had sex with someone they have an emotional connection with. If I could go back, I honestly might just have continued waiting until marriage.

True, men may have it easier to get causal sex than in the past, but they are likely having less sex overall since most sex is obtained in a relationship and they are having it will lesser quality women.

Average men don't exist to average women ..

I am an outlier, and until I prove my outlier status, if I approach I get the "why are you over here talking to us" look. After status is proven I am acknowledged and "allowed" to interact, sometimes I'm pursued.

Kudos for an attempt at "if men were just better..." post there aren't enough attempts to trash men in this sub.
