Fucking hate hate hate the term "man up". It's so fucking discriminatory. "If you were a real man you'd do this".

We're not supposed to have expectation from women, like, "Real women belong at home taking care of kids" or "Real Women would do what a man wants" so why can't we get the same respect back? Especially when she's discussing an issue on gender.

Yes and no, removing discrimination against men's feelings and gatekeeping them would certainly help go the extra mile. But it doesn't resolve anything when the damage is already done and there are more factors involved than just equipping boys with emotional literacy because on the vice versa women have to be accepting that men can now enter that preserve.

This just screams of a lot of "I haven't really talked to men about why they do this or what could contribute to this" and instead of an idea solely based on a female perspective that really hasn't done their research on what contributes to men or women for that manner acting out in violent fashions.
