Well these groups are a blatant tos violations but allowed to stay up for some reason yet every time a group like this comes up for guy to check on girls they're taken down pretty damn quickly. Also RP/MGTOW & even MRA groups are routinely taken down just for talking about men's issues while feminists groups/channels that legitimately talk about the most vile things that "men deserve" are allowed to perpetuate their misandrist message that actually includes false reporting & calls to violence. Can't argue there isn't gender bias on social media platforms.

Asking their ex about them is the dumbest thing you can do. It is like asking representative of INTEL if you should get an AMD product. You can expect biased info.

DCMA isn't the right legal framework here. This isn't a copyright issue.

This is a defamation case. Which means you should send a cease and desist letter with the threat of a lawsuit ... or just jump straight into a lawsuit.

Kind of a textbook defamation case, really. As long as you make sure to collect the evidence carefully and don't screw up the process, it should be a slam-dunk win in court. (Assuming you're not a "public figure" -- then it gets more difficult.)

Only two things to worry about:

1) Do they actually have enough money to be worth going after this way?

2) Will a lawsuit actually stop the behavior, or will it only make things much worse because of retaliation?

If you've got money, please start suing the people on these forums.

Note that I strongly doubt that DMCA has any use in your circumstance. Sadly, we don't own the copyrights to our own selves.

You might have enough to serve Facebook with subpoenas where they have to fork over the identities of the people who defamed you to your lawyers.

Then you can start suing those people.

Or something more affordable, you could get a lawyer to send a cease and desist to Facebook. But even just that is probably going to run you several hundred bucks in legal fees. I can't wait for LegalGPT bots, it's going to equalize the playing field between rich and poor. And lock up the courts too...

I'm going to institute a DMCA takedown request immediately, and I suggest every single guy take these groups very seriously.

Something that's relevant here, since copyright law is involved.

The copyright is held by whoever took the picture. You may need to get a statement from whoever took the picture that transfers the copyright to you.

There was a Pew article earlier this year that showed 63% of men 18-29 are single compared to 34% of women 18-29 with lots of various theories, but I think it’s because a lot of young women are unknowingly dating the same guy. So, hot take but as a guy that grew up not getting much attention from women, I feel like these groups are finally starting to help combat unrealistic standards for men in the options-saturated digital age dating landscape.

Growing up, I always felt like many young women would rather dig through unrealistically attractive “single-for-a-reason” guys and complain about “all men” while I just sat on the sidelines, ignored. Or, women would date guys with tons of options and then wonder why they get treated like just another option.

With these groups, women are now hyperaware of guys with options and history and are more likely to give chances to more “average” guys with fewer options and less history/experience.
