Prison for failure to make child support payments creates a new debtors prison and is a form of modern slavery.

Jailing of those who cannot make child support payments needs to end for all races.

Many women withhold children from fathers that don't pay child support and feel justified in removing a loving parent from their children's lives. Fathering is not about money, it is about love and emotional support as well.

Maybe looking at individual circumstances and giving aid to poor and homeless men would be a better method of increasing support to children from their fathers.

I'm all for getting rid of child support debt. Debtors prisons have been illegal since the 1800's. Send a man to jail because he's poor and cant pay that TITLE IV D human trafficking debt is wrong on every level. It's Peonage, Labor Bondage and Debt Bondage, along with forced economic slave labor for Profit by a private collection company, Maximus and YoungWilliams. BIG BIG State contracts with bonus incentives for collections. AND you have NON government employees arresting you and sending you to jail. These companies are no better than Plantation Overseers!!!

Twitter is going berserk over this headline this morning. And it's so predictable... "Wow, who is going to think of the children?" and "Black people don't want to pay their fair share."

Here's the reality though... Debtors prison was outlawed in the US in the 1830s and then officially/formally deemed unconstitutional in the 1980s. However, fathers can and still do often go to prison over child support debt.

This system overwhelming harms black fathers and their children. If a mother files for support a year or two after the baby was born, she can seek arrears, putting a young black father $20,000 to $50,000 in debt, effectively ruining his financial future and freedom.

And how does putting a father in prison help the child? The father will surely lose whatever job he did have. The state will also take away a fathers drivers license, making him unable to get to and from work. Some states will not renew professional licenses for trades and real estate if a father is behind.

Unfair and unreasonable child support debt ruins fathers and their families. This is a human rights issue. This is a constitutional rights issue. It is not a joke.

Unequal outcomes is never sufficient reason for discrimination and unequal application of the law. And frankly I'm not in support of eliminating child support any way. People should support their own offspring, not the taxpayer.

The real problem with the child support system IMO is excessive child support orders.

White too, don’t sign away your rights in court, I refused to sign anything without the judge’s signature, so I had a name to sue for depriving me of my constitutional rights. My own lawyer tried to set me up. No no no! Title IVd. Educate yourselves. They went quiet real quick. I asked y lawyer to sign, he said no. They write court clerk in the papers which means you can’t sue. Do not sign!

All the above only applies to federal employees only. This is all illegal but not if you sign on the dotted line. $50’000 men are in are incarcerated today in the US for failure to pay their spouses. The court decides regardless of hardship. Why?………..The State gets 66% of your custody matched by federal grants (Title 4d) DHHS, this is why you see less of your children as you pay more custody and the State gets more money through Title 4d. This 66% goes to the States treasury to spend on other things other than welfare. It primarily goes to the judges 401k/slush fund.

The fake judge (executive officer of the court ) has a financial interest in removing your children from your life to fund himself and the State. Your lawyer is an officer of the court and is licensed and works indirectly for the state working against you and your children’s best interests.

The judge, her lawyer and your lawyer want your resources as the are non produces and contribute nothing to the GDP, They are thieves and hold your children to ransom. Do not sign anything even when YOUR lawyer uses his soothing snake voice to sign. These are brood parasites raising their young and buying second homes from your labor working under the States conditions.

The Fed has no right to invest in this program with OUR social security investments, it is theft. It is corrupt beyond all measure! Remember Men, You marry the State not your wife. Do not share your love with the government. Share it under a harvest moon and the eyes of God.

Go to the Dept of Health and Human Resources and type in Title lVd. They are giddy in there joy at spending your money and taking it. They are like kids in a candy store, They hate you, you are expendable. Prepare to be horrified.
