So we're very near the finalizing of our settlement and my ex told me she might move as far as 30 minutes away.

The problem I've got is that we have a son who needs daycare and eventually school.

With traffic, that 30 minutes becomes 45 minutes.

Drop off - 45 minutes

Pick up - 45 minutes

Drive to pick up from school - 45 minutes

Drive to go home - 45 minutes

My STBX fully expects me to drive 3 hours a day with no complaint. I proposed to include a clause that we would try to share transport times equally and she is now saying that she just wants full custody.

Driving 15 hours a week is fine when I do it. Driving 7 hours a week is totally unfair to her.

Personally I just find her whole attitude totally selfish and shameless, but on a more pragmatic level, has anyone else come up with some kind of out of the box ideas on this topic?
