I am seeing a lot of posts here where men are not able to get over their ex or still want to save their marriage even though their wife cheated on them.
The way I was able to get over my ex is by asking myself what is the kind of relationship I was imagining when I was 18 or so. Did that relationship involve my partner yelling at me every day? Did it involve my partner being snarky? Being lazy? Unthawing frozen food and calling it cooking? Ordering Uber eats cos they were too lazy to cook? Did it involve me being lonely every day because she is on Facebook every day? Did it involve my partner never cuddling me or me having to ask for sex every time? Hell no. And maybe even if it didn't start off that way, if it turns into a bad relationship it doesn't mean you have to stay with that person. This is where we men go wrong, our sense of loyalty overrides our needs of being in a good relationship and we stay in a bad relationship.
When I was standing at the alter did I think this woman will turn into this horrible person? Hell no! So why am I sad that she left? I should be happy that she left and now I can find someone better!
Don't idolize this person and think of them as the person that you met, think of them as the person they turned into, cold, heartless bitch. Why are you sad that a cold heartless bitch left you? You should be happy!
Another issue we men have is when our ex moves on, we feel bad, we feel "Why is this guy better than me". That is a horrible way to feel and the way we should think about it is, some women prefer steak, some women prefer lobster. Both are edible, and a woman who prefers lobster might eat steak but after a while she will really want lobster and leave you for lobster. That's ok, just find yourself a girl that prefers steak.
It also helps to look at all the things you accomplished in life. If you graduated college, if you have a great job, if you are a great dad, if you were able to buy a house, if you have a talent. Focus on that, think about that and you'll get your confidence back. Once you get that confidence back, that's when you'll feel happy.
