I think no, they don't care. If it's their sons, yes. But that's it.

Look at Ukraine. It's complex, but 90% of the refugees are women and kids. Women alone make up 60%.

But by age and locale, it's even more pronounced. My colleagues in Ukraine tell me that almost all the women under 35 in Eastern Ukraine abandoned it within the first 3 months of the invasion.

Men fighting wars for glory is a myth. Historically veterans are always forgotten the second that they cannot be used anymore.

“Glory” is living in a tent on the side of a road while you wait 5 months to talk 5 minutes with a psychiatrist at the VA who is stretched too thin to care.

It’s a lie and a social bribe given to men to trick them into being used and exploited.

Women participate in this con by fetishizing men that do this. “I love a man in uniform!” Or “I want a man that can protect me” or romance novels basically being erotica about men being violent or being hurt.

Women like men when they are fighting the war and are big and tough, but the second they need help, they are forgotten and tossed away.

Men aren’t any better though. TradCon men acting like they are tough because they are dying for a government that doesn’t care about them

No. A very very small percentage of women who have sons will generalize their biological imperative, but over 99% of women do not care about men nor their suffering.

Lot of women have sympathy for men just like lot of men have sympathy for women. However, some women believe that just because women are assaulted by men than the other way around, even though men are assaulted the most overall, that men being assaulted or tortured or abused does not matter as much and we need more sympathy for women. They feel like men deserve it because a minority of men hurt women. They feel as if it's a competition between men and women to see who can hurt each other the most, which is a very terrible perspective to have.

Idk bruh I got some really nasty burn scars I got from war. Like horribly disfigurement level but lucky cause shirt covers them mostly. Can't wear sleeveless and even some t-shirts have a creep up.

Anyway. Every biker I've ever met wants to buy me a drink and hear the story as soon as I say where they from. I'm not talking just the old dads with a midlife crisis either. Got to hang with a full on group of Hells angels at little Sturgis when it was still fresh and I was self conscious. Was the center of attention for a bit and the girls there would ignore dudes sporting colors too touch it and ask me about the horrors I've seen.

As a matter of fact any girl that was repulsed wasn't really worth having. They were the super liberal kind with the blue hair that support Palestine today.

Nah women love a way hero. They are fine with my burns or the shartnal scars. Got buddy missing a leg that does just fine.

It's the guys that come back fucked in the head they don't have patience for but really. How many of you if given the option are gonna pick a girl with no mental illness over a girl with mental illness. I'm married now. I am much bigger and much stronger than my wife. If I lost my cool like some of these guys do there is nothing she could do in that moment.

I've got friends that didn't transition back well. The ones that can mask do fine, until they can't.

One of our biggest problems isn't that nobody cares. If they don't you're in different circles than I am. The problem is the help offered sucks. It's not made for men at all. Then we don't really talk about shit as a gender. At least not anything uncomfortable.

Then of course you have plenty of dudes like me. I'm not traumatized at all. Don't lose a wink of sleep. I feel absolutely no guilt. Honestly my regret is I didn't send more of them to hell before I left and it bothers guys that didn't handle it as well.

I blame society for that too. You got all these people telling these guys they should be traumatized for what they did and they should feel bad. A good chunk of them feel bad they don't feel bad and that starts a spiral.

If you've been to war and you need someone to chat with my dm's are open. You don't have to feel bad anymore. I'll listen and try tell you what worked for me.

This isn't a problem we can blame women for. We aren't helping each other. They send us to the therapy that works for women just makes men crazy. I've never seen a guy leave therapy better than he was before. Met one that thought it worked till he killed himself.

I’m a vet. I’ve found that they care as much as men do. Those that also served their country, regardless of gender, “get it” more so than those that didn’t enlist. Unless you’ve served I think this topic can only be indirectly considered by the “almost” enlisted :)

Depends. I know women who don’t care about the tragic lives of any soldier from a time where women weren’t allowed to enlist (or only enlist for certain jobs). Why glorify men for things women weren’t allowed to do?

To throw your phrase back at you….virtue signal much? Do you care about POWs? If yes, besides for mouthing about them, to push your agenda, what are you doing about it? What are you doing to help veterans? Oh you talk about them all the time. But what is talking going to do? Perhaps the women who care are out there actually doing things. Many people see the ones who talk and do nothing but talk, as weak, and shady. I’m sure you aren’t like that. But since you accuse women of being heartless, maybe just set the example and tell us exactly what you are doing to help those you say you care about, the POWs etc.

The drafted man who became a POW and/or was tortured, certainly I feel bad for them.

The person who voluntarily enlisted. It's part of the risk of that job. That's on them for not making an informed decision prior to enlisting.

Honestly, people go into it assuming people care and live them On the other side of the veil of experience Only a few really care and maybe all do. But its seldom. You cant force people to care. They have things they already care about and are preoccupied with. Veterans day or memorial days are just reminders of the fabrication of why they're free. As for the KIA.. They usually blend in with patriotic symbols.
