Surprisingly feminists defend this narrative, (which is not surprising lol). By saying women are more vulnerable and get raped in high numbers. And they ironically use biology as an excuse by saying that men are stronger than women. So it's ok.

They forget that men can also be vulnerable, and get raped at high numbers. And they also forget that not all men are born with the natural abilities to fight or use guns. And men can still get overpowered by bigger/stronger men or bigger armies of men.

And I always thought the draft was stupid for two reasons anyway.

Reason 1: The military is all about skills and strategies during war right? Then why would they want to force civilians who are not skilled into war? And on top of that too they are also afraid since they are in a war they don't want to be in the first place. So having a bunch of unskilled civilians with FREAKING GUNS will be detrimental to your army

Reason 2: Since the military is all about teamwork and brotherhood. What happens when the men they draft are people who are only going to look out for themselves and become lone wolves? At this point, I don't blame them. After all, they are in a dumb war they didn't ask to be in the first place.

Normally they'd like to detatch women from children when talking about career life or family responsibilities. But as soon as shit hits the fan it's basically "back to the kitchen" apparently. It's almost as if they still have the kids tethered to them by the umbilical cord.

What really burns is that they insist on "women and children first," but then refuse to acknowledge that this reflects even a molecule of female privilege.

Saw that exact thing recently in a YouTube video about Unit 731. One of the first things the guy said was a warning about how "this story discusses violence against women and children." Even though like all war crimes, many of the victims of that entire tragedy were men.

Not only does lumping together "women and children" marginalize male victims, it also implies that women and children are akin. Like women are equally are innocent and harmless and in need of protection as children.

That kind of mentality contributes to why female-perpetrated abuse is so downplayed. People hear about a woman abusing a man, and perceive it similarly to to hearing about a child beating up an adult. Like some silly thing that's more comical than abusive.

If women use this as evidence of “women’s suffering,” then it brings up a question: why aren’t there more men who are trapped in refugee camps? Usually, the men are in war zones and defending their homes and villages from insurgents and militants. Or they’re dead. So, the question becomes, “Are women suffering more because dead men can’t suffer?”

It's a narrative that's perpetuated by conservatives and traditionalists due to its implications of men somehow being more prone to violence for both good and evil.

Violence for good: 1) Men shouldn't be refugees because they should stay and fight for their countries' freedom

Violence for evil: 2) The men who come here are looters, rapists and killers (paraphrasing from a speech by a famous politician)

If you want to get rid of this narrative of women and children first, you need to challenge the traditional notions of what men are, perpetuated by conservatives.

Something that's made even more difficult due to the fact it requires an examination of traditional masculinity and men's position as caretakers/givers, not to mention changing family dynamics.

The deafening hypocrisy right now is that the shrieking woman and kids rights organizations are utterly silent as women and kids get turned to pulp in Palestine. But in general as men get reputation wise smashed to pulp in most countries they have largely stopped caring about women's well-being, including damsels in distress.

The actual biological basis for this sentiment is that women ARE more valuable, evolutionarily, because they can help repopulate the tribe.

But if we go with that logic, it means women would be relegated to the traditional role of baby making factories (something feminists are against).

But does it stop them from using this logic? No. That right there tells you everything you need to know about feminism. Gender roles for thee but not for me.

I agree in objective situations that a man's life is worth the same as woman's life.

But as soon as you start playing with children's lives compared to an adults I gotta start questioning your mindset.

Boy or girl, I don't give a fuck, a child is a child and I would rather my life be taken 10/10 times so a child's life doesn't get taken.

It should 1000% be children first in situations that allow it.
