I have noticed in myself and others the following:

I find women who are mostly feminine, with some masculine traits. I want a woman who can make her own way in the world, uses her body and strength correctly like being able to lift things, work with her hands etc. Also a woman that is slightly assertive with a touch of aggression. She shouldn't just run to her man for everything.

It's a slight turn off for me at least when a woman wants to be a delicate princess. I need someone that is closer to "homo sapien animal" rather than being sheltered by the modern world. A fine balance, because I don't want an overly masculine woman either. Mostly feminine with a touch of masculinity as described above. I still want to be the provider and be relied on mostly

Maybe it's because of the modern world, or because of my upbringing.

Likewise, many women say that they want a man with some feminine traits. A man who cries, who is in touch with his emotions, takes care of kids, is gentle, expresses himself etc

If my view is universal, why is it that we find a mixture of these traits attractive?

Does a couple where the man is 100% masculine, and the woman is 100% feminine belong to a Disney movie rather than real life?
