I've been cold approaching the past couple months along with trying to meet women at work and social groups, but today I not only got rejected for about the hundredth time but also got a dose of reality. I saw this cute Latina sitting by herself as I was leaving a store so when I got all my groceries put up I decided to approach her in an area with other people. I felt insecure, nervous, and a few other negative emotions talking to her but tried to keep the conversation going and kind of forced some flirting as a "to do list", so my calibration was off and I didn't do a good job approaching. Failing with women has been a regular thing lately but didn't expect to get confronted about it later. I had to return a DVD and as I was leaving her boyfriend confronted me in the parking lot about how I made his girlfriend feel real uncomfortable and that she called him up from his job and he was pissed about it. I work in a harder industry so confrontations don't bother me as much as they used to. He had a more assertive personality than me but I apologized and was honest about why I approached her and defused the situation. No one died or was harmed so there's no use in worrying about what happened, but it turns out I make women feel uncomfortable and am probably creepy, no where to go but up as I need to figure out how to make women comfortable. I'm a big guy at 5'9 225 and am physically stronger than most men, just have an insecure unconfident personality that hasn't figured out how to correctly apply the info here, I have trouble calibrating and making decisions in the moment. I more focus all my energy and do something come hell or high water and have got to figure out how to do better. I don't want to get seriously hurt over pickup and want to make women feel better. Please help.
