I feel like I get what you’re saying, but a lot of that implies you’re trying to play some game where your goal is to get this girl to fall for you. I guess that’s applicable in that instance, but I’d personally avoid all the drama altogether. If you like me, great, let’s talk and get to know each other; if you’re on the fence about something, I probably wouldn’t feel close enough to you to send you a random text outside of setting a date.

Also, I'm not good at texting and all that stuff, but I sure as shit know that it doesn't require a textbook to figure out texting. Moreover, every person is different. tl;dr. Texting is indeed the way many couples end up creating a fairy tale between them. They text, exchange a few (usually outdated pics), get into some sexting, and then think they are in love.

They finally meet down the road already infatuated and usually bang on the first date.

Sometimes this works out, other times they begin to see the flaws / deal with real time/life issues together and realize they don't have what it takes.
