Superficially, this can be read as "don't chase, attract" as Wygant, Manson and others that I haven't read have said. However, it also applies related to life and happiness in general: I never wake up in the morning and think "I'm going to be happy today!", rather, I think "I'm going to workout, finish that project, meet up with some friends, open some sets", and working towards said things generates happiness on its own.
