I've been really worried about being rejected for a while, but a little while ago I went for the kiss with one of the more attractive girls I've been with. She pushed me away and said, "Hey no."

I smiled and laughed. I was a little embarrassed at the time, but it catapulted me so far forward in my game. I've gotten to the point now where I can reject people [who don't fit my life] and I don't accept [just] any girl that comes along.

It's such a great feeling.

It's a controversial issue. There are people who try to have fun with it, and people who take it very seriously and want to obtain fast results no matter what. It's a gradient, of course, and if you're silly all the time you'll just end up never getting better, and if you're too serious, you might miss the point, but I'd rather err on the side of serious.

The chances of dropping out of the game are extremely high, a very small percentage of people get to elite levels. Think of olympic athletes, it's not "fun" for them all the time, they're working very hard and in a very structured way in order to obtain the kind of results they want. I'm very worried that if I don't give it my 110%, I will never get really good and decide to quit, so I consciously choose to make it a serious vocation rather than something I do for shits and giggles.

In my very VERY limited (new) experience, I think being serious about it and making seduction fun aren't mutually exclusive.

I try to be serious about it in the sense that I try to figure out what works and doesn't work, what things I did right and what I did wrong. But I try not to be serious about it in the sense that I really REALLY beat myself up over my failures (I'm still working on this part as I come from a super studious, engineering background.)

At least for me, I find that not being super serious (in the sense of beating myself up over it and only reading a ton of material while not going out there myself) actually helps keep me dedicated to seduction so far. Actually, if I didn't make it fun, I think it would be harder for me to keep at it like I have been so far.

But I am serious in the sense that I try to learn from my mistakes. Just going out there and having fun while repeating the same mistakes / not learning anything would be an error in my humble opinion.

I grew up riding sport quads in the sand dunes. I remember learning to climb hills on one of my first quads and getting pretty upset and stressed out when i couldnt make it up. My dad asked me, "why are you freaking out, this is supposed to be fun. It's a challenge." Fast forward 15 years and I actively seek out the most challenging hills I can find and thorougly enjoy trying to climb them. Even if I dont make it, its still fun as hell. I think about this often and apply it to pickup.

The underlying principle to understand in this post is this should be a part time thing and not something that takes up a majority of your time. If I were to make a ∏ chart of time consumed for activities, seduction should be small. You should have most of your time dedicated to your job, family, and regular hobbies.

Don't make seduction your life. As cheesy as it sounds, it should be vice versa.

I couldn't agree more. I think it's all about mindset. I look forward to going out now because I make it fun. When I first started it was just miserable because I was constantly in my head. If you spend all night nit picking your body language, tone, value, etc. you're going to have a bad time. Too much study harms the student.
