Are there sedditors who are naturally attractive, athletic build, and good looking, that really need PUA material?

Yes. I'm 6'5", 235, and good looking. I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but I am. When I was younger, i was always taller, but I was skinny. I was also very smart in a school full of dumbasses. I got picked on a lot for being smart and skinny. Then in junior high I went to an all black school where I got my ass beat pretty much every day for being white. Then i went to a private school where everyone hated me because I wasn't rich. Naturally this fucked my self esteem. Even then I knew I was good looking, which made it more frustrating that I couldn't get with decent women.

Then came college, I made a lot of friends, and being in a frat forced me to interact with women and I got laid a decent amount, but nowhere near what I should be because my confidence was non existent.

I started grad school, went through a breakup, started hitting the gym hard and going out with guys who pulled ass. I started pulling decent ass, and a positive feedback loop began. Even then though, I could get laid and get numbers but i couldn't keep the girls around because I didn't know how to game them properly.

Game has helped me learn how to get and keep women around, and has kept me from getting played by the hot girls I meet. Before I would get totally fucked by shit tests, and blew lots of opportunities because I didn't understand the dynamic. Now, if a girl is in anyway attracted and i get any kind of opening, I'm closing. My close rate is now about 70% for any girl that I talk to in a set for more than 10 minutes. Before I learned game, it was maybe 15. If I get the number and they don't flake on the first date, its' 100%. Before, it was probably 30%.

Point is, I've been getting laid since college, but not anywhere near my potential. In fact being good looking hurt my chances to some extent, because my lack of confidence was so incongruent with my looks. Now I'm an arrogant motherfucker who knows what's up, and it's paying dividends.

I used to be really unattractive - super skinny, terrible acne, bad hair. I fixed that a long time ago, hit the gym, and now am a good looking guy, but was still terrible at talking to women, mostly due to AA and general awkwardness.

I bumbled my way into figuring out how to talk to girls, but not meet them. All of my LTR's were with girls I met through work or work friends. I tried to pick up girls in bars but was hopeless at it.

The PUA techniques and especially applying "talk to everyone" have dramatically improved my results with women. Being good looking will help you with girls but it won't get you very far if you don't know how to carry on a conversation / get a number / do a fun date.

Don't worry about not getting approached, girls don't usually approach guys unless the guy is super hot or the girl is super aggressive.

I hadn't heard of PUA material until I stumbled on this subreddit a couple months ago. Like you said, these guys are naturally confident so a lot of this stuff comes to them, well... naturally. My friends in high school and college always wanted me to help them pick up girls but I could never figure out what to tell them other than "Have fun and be yourself". Well, that didn't really work :-). Wish I had found this stuff a lot sooner!

Don't focus on your flaws! My GF and I were at a bar a few weeks ago and a 'little person', who was frankly quite ugly, came up and started hitting on my GF a LOT! She was laughing and having a great time with him, it was hilarious to watch. Point is, if you focus on your flaws, so will everyone else.

I'm a good-looking guy (I've been offered modeling contracts), but I am not naturally confident. I am generally introverted and often succumb to social anxieties if I don't first kick my ass into frame. PUA material has taught me the importance of being comfortable with myself and how that will lead to more successful interactions.

Also, don't worry that girls aren't approaching you - it's a rare guy that doesn't have to bother with opening the women he's interested in. Hit the gym like you mean it and you'll develop a better body and more, natural confidence.

I consider myself to be attractive, I've been told I'm good looking by women who are good looking enough to have flattering standards attached to the word. I'm not necessarily athletic but I run and do basic conditioning two or three times a week. I'm a bit on the slimmer side, only about 150 at 5'10", and I wear glasses as well, but they're Armanis and I keep well groomed.

The reason I started with PUA material is because, while I've had ways of getting people to do what I want (yes, manipulation. to a degree pickup is a related topic), it usually involved the pity card or the witty card. And people don't sleep with you because they pity you, and they don't take you seriously if you're funny too often.

Enter PUA material.

Now I feel like I'm up-to-speed social awareness-wise with a generally well-liked college freshman or sophomore, despite the fact that I'm in my fifth year.

Before I picked up any PUA tricks I was always compromising with women; my first girlfriend was a 4, the first girl I had sex with a 3, etc. Since then, I've been much more popular with the 6-8 demographic.

While PUA has not gotten me a steady girl, nor has it specifically gotten me laid (not to say it hasn't contributed, but I haven't really closed by-the-book), it has made me more socially aware and likable.

I have to say I'm of above average attractiveness. See the thing is, growing up, it helped, but I definitely didn't get the mileage that I could out of it and I still was very socially awkward. Girls would get their little crushes on me, so I definitely wasn't repulsive growing up, but it usually wasn't the quality that I liked. And the two or three that I thought were cute and liked back, I was so awkward in approaching those few times that I completely fucked it up (shame, I've seen them now and they are still good). And the presentation was just awful, I couldn't groom, I didn't dress well... I specifically remember early in college a female friend telling me "You have a good body, why don't you dress so you can show it?"

So it definitely didn't preclude me from having some awkward or pitiful moments. I definitely remember looking out and seeing these uglier/fatter/asshole dudes having more success than me and whining to girl friends about it, when the answer was right under my nose.

I also think there's a certain amount of groupthink with guys (and girls) when they are constantly around other people your age like you are in grade school and college (if you are live on or close to campus). I specifically remember talking to guy friends or roommates and hearing them go "Oh that girl isn't that great" or "Damn that girl is amazing!" and only feeling more anxiety about approaching any girls at all. Or hearing girls fawn after one guy and me going "Why can't I be like that guy? What's wrong with me?" and only feeling less confident about myself. A lot of those anxieties have sorta have gone away as I've gotten older and more experienced and deal with a wider group of people.

These days, things are a bit different. The other day I posted an FR of a total faceflop and still, I realize that these are mostly attractive women that are reaching out to me. I hardly fit into any conventional attractiveness stereotype... I'm still only about 5-8, Asian, sorta scrawny, but judging from the attention I see that I get, I must be doing something right. Being more experienced, not just in the sexual marketplace but in dealing with people in general, I'm also more willing to look past minor flaws that I used to get hung up on, whether my own anxieties or my peers, cause I'm not looking for a wife each time, and this isn't the last girl in the world, and I'm not perfect myself.

To answer your question more specifically, I think the biggest benefits I've gotten from following Seddit and other sites like it are:

1) Really specific tips like touching or spotting IOIs

2) Encouraging you to be openly social. I'm constantly out of the house so actually getting out isn't much of a problem, but I can see when I clam up. Of course, there are times I would rather just not be bothered.

3) Helping out others or posting your successes/failures can help you see what you've done well/poorly.

I don't really care much for specific routines or specific openers cause I'm just living my life and being more perceptive to what I'm doing and what's going on around me, but I definitely see where it benefits some people.

When I was 18, I was in amazing physical shape, and much better-looking than I ever realized. But I was also enough of a nerd that I lacked self-confidence to such a degree that I repelled girls who should have been beating down doors to get to me.

I only wish I had discovered this stuff back then, but I didn't. Now that I have, I use the techniques to my benefit not only romantically but socially and professionally. I'm no longer the lean mean fucking machine I was when I was 18, but I clean up well, dress nicely, and exercise regularly.

No matter how good you think you are, this shit works. Period.

Edit to add: When I was 18 I had all the advantages of being 18, but I didn't know it and didn't know how to use it. Now that I'm many years older, I'm not as good looking, not as fit, but my game is a hundred times stronger. If I had this game when I was younger, I would have nailed all the cheerleaders—perhaps at once. Now, I can meet, attract and close just about any woman I want, from early 20's on up.

There was a guy trying to show off near the photography couch... he had his shirt off, was ripped. Long story short no girl approached him.

I was a late bloomer. Overweight and super introverted in high school. I kinda came into my own in the last year or so. Found stage theater, started working out, began vocal exercises and bleached my hair. Gained 20 pounds of muscle and with literature here and buddhism have done tremendous 'inner game' work.

That said, the only women that hit on me are not the ones people are going after on this site. You can look great but if confidence doesn't come out of your body language and voice, your physical appearance alone won't save you.

i am attractive, athletically built (on the thin side, though), good looking and generally confident.

the reason i lurk seddit and study other PUA material is that my success has always come from acquaintances or friends of friends. my goal is to be able to pull strangers at will instead of on the rare occasion.

Girls tell me that I am attractive, I am a varsity swimmer and am very good at sports and I'm not that shy and am outgoing. Despite all of this, I still had a hard time picking up women before I discovered PUA material. It just goes to show that all those things do not really matter at all, it's just how you play the game.

A friend of mine is actually going to go into modelling, he's that good looking, and he's researched a lot of PUA stuff. He's been to bootcamps and everything.

It helps everyone and helps you to develop perspective from what I've seen. You stop putting women on pedestals and it improves your confidence.

For myself, I have low self esteem (really bad high school), but I'm pretty good looking as well. I'm here to sort out my 'inner game' issues, now that I'm going to be living with a house full of players I should sort this stuff out.

I stumbled upon PUA material about last year around this time, and it interested me because it put words into what I had already been doing.

I'd say I'm attractive [the black hair and blue eyes help], naturally cocky/funny, raised by women, so I've never really had a problem talking to them. But it was cool to find that people have been writing their successes, tactics and techniques down. I get approached more than I approach normally, however I've been increasing my dating pool lately so I've been on much more approaches.

I think the most important thing for anyone to focus on is the self-esteem aspect. That is almost the entirety of game, obviously its important to look good, but its so much more important to feel good as you interact with women. If you are the ugliest dude on earth and you walk up and start talking to a group of 5 gorgeous women without a single stutter in your voice, they'll be impressed at the sheer amount of confidence you posess. Most will be interested in you just for that.

A word of advice: Hang out with the naturals as much as possible. You'll subliminally start picking up on things.

Apparently I'm hot. I used to be more overweight and socially inept. I guess I'm still stuck in that mindset. Lots of the PUA stuff, at least the good stuff that actually works, is about increasing your confidence in social situations, so it really helps for where I am. Things like talk to everyone and focus on success is great.

Good looking guys can usually get girls, but without a knowledge of game they usually end up with terrible bitchy girlfriends who treat them like shit.

The good looking tricks the girls to think he is confident and attractive, but after awhile they find out that the guy is just a chump who happens to look good.

So yes, game is needed for everyone. Not everybody needs to read a book on it though. A lot of guys learned game naturally through observing their fathers, brothers, and other male figures. The need for books is a relatively new thing and they are basically there to counteract things that women, feminists, movies, and tv teach boys.

I'm a good looking dude, in good shape, and regularly play music in front of rooms full of people.

My social skills have been terrible for years, and are still pretty weak compared to my peers in music due to some fundamental issues I have with my own boyish voice and boyish face.

I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to figure it out, but reading PUA materials on seddit and mASF has helped me realize that confidence and body language is the only thing that really matters with most social interactions. So I've been pulling out all of the stops.

I'm talking to every girl I find attractive, making sure that I'm always excited to be out in public. No one wants to hang out with a quiet moody guy. I drastically changed my look and am basically owning it. Cocky shit that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Also, I've been rejected a bunch of times. Shut down. Awkward. Blah.

The results have been stunning. Yes, I'm doing better with women-- more numbers, make-outs, sex, cooties. More importantly (I think), my friends and local community have been taking much more notice of me-- and I can feel that my social proof in my community is growing.

Maybe this god a little off-topic, but I think that my experience with one month of exposure/experimenting reinforces the value of these techniques. They will work best and have lasting effects if your inner-game is on. Thats the most important part.

So get out there and fail faster.

I have girls I'm friends with tell me I'm an attractive guy and I go to the gym regularly so I also get compliments on my body. Yet I need some PUA-type help because of the bad experiences I've had in the past. For a while I pretty much gave up and stopped trying to find a new gf (most of the bad experience was with my ex), but reading seddit and changing my mindset has me looking and flirting again. Still no luck finding a girl I connect with, but at least I'm trying.

What does PUA mean? It's not on the glossary of terms and I tried guessing, WTF does it stand for?
