I just want to say that if you guys aren't clicking on this, it's not worth staying with her. Don't force a relationship, and if it's someone who isn't looking for a relationship and just wants to just play around, either they're not right for you or at least they're not right for at this point in their lives.

Move on, and don't try to make a relationship out of something that won't work if she doesn't do relationships.

You did the right thing by telling her that her brother couldn't come along on the first date. However, you took the wrong approach. You should have been playful about it, something like, "Your brother can't come along. He'll definitely feel uncomfortable watching me put the moves on his [big/kid] sister."

To the "Why does it have to be a date? I don't do relationships" comment, you should have said, "Who said anything about a relationship? I'm just looking for a girl who wants to have a little fun. Tell me what you're looking for."

I'm never that opposed to having extra people come along on the first date. But her reasoning is off, in my opinion. Dating ≠ a relationship. It just seems like she's not that into you to begin with.

But if you want a relationship, and she doesn't, then I don't understand what the problem is. You asserted yourself and were selective about who you date. I applaud you for that.

You are a complete douchbag. You force a girl to chose between you or her brother? WTF?! It is a first date! Common sense dude tells you what to do. If it is like say a 2 year anniversary yeah you have a point, but a first date no. Just because you committed your Sunday night; grow up. This isn't a victory for anyone. You proved what everyone suspects about seduction; that everyone who follows any of the advice just becomes an asshole.

Why the fuck couldn't her brother come? Why can't you go out on Monday or Tuesday? Your way or no way because you are the boss? What an inflexible asshole. What happens next time? If as you or others have suggested, she was having second thoughts then forcing the issue this way provide no benefit to you. In fact, you are giving her even more evidence to second guess a relationship with you.
