So I went out last night to my friends house party. It wasn't very lively at first with mostly dudes. w/e I didn't give a fuck as most of them were my best friends and had fun shooting the shit. Anyways I decided I was going to be sober that night, to help improve my game and get rid of my crutch and also because I need to stop consuming thousands of calories in beer every night out.

So finally the party gets pretty packed, but it still sucks. You have your typical AFC's in the kitchen playing beer pong and flip cup because that's all they know how to do at parties. I'm completely sober at this point (minus like 2 red bulls if that counts) but I decide to say fuck it.

The music is bumping and I'm fucking loving it. So I decide to hop up on the table in the living room and start dancing on it. Let me tell you, I am a god awful dancer. Typical white boy who has no idea what he's doing. But fuck it, I just wanted to dance.

So of course at the start most people are like ha, look at that dude up on the table making a fool of himself (at least I feel like this is what they think in their head). But after a while of me not GAF dancing, I notice people starting to change their attitude. Now they are like whoa, look at that dude, he's having a blast. He must be fucking wasted. Why else on earth would he be having so much fun dancing on a table by himself?

Anyways, fast forward maybe 30 minutes or so. I look around below me and like 5 separate attractive chicks are checking me out and smiling. Now at this point in the night I honestly wasn't interested in getting laid at all. But of course I pull the girls up on the table with me and it becomes a DP (Dance party). Now I'm on this table dancing with the only hot girls at the party with my terrible fucking dance moves and double fisting red bulls.

My friends kept telling me to grind on the girls, but honestly I had no intention of getting laid that night so I kept doing my own thing NGAF. The thing is it showed. Because these girls were loving me, making eye contact, smiling, etc.

Fast forward some more then some dude hops up on the table to join us. His intentions are immediately obvious as he wasn't dancing before, and instantly tries to grind on the girls. I laugh at his failure and the girls get off the table and leave. I keep doing my thing, he leaves, they come back.

Anyways, I didn't number close any of them or even get their names because I didn't want to. I was just there to have fun.

Moral of the story: If you just go out to have fun, you will do 1000x better than if you go out to get laid. Getting girls shouldn't be the focus, it's transparent. Girls see right through it, guys see right though it. Up until this moment I've never believe all the stories I've heard here about dudes going out having fun and being super successful until not.

tl;dr - If your goal is to have fun vs. to get laid when you go out. You will have the gravitational pull of 1000 suns.

Side note: Where would I go about finding dance lessons? (hip-hop type stuff, not like ballroom)
