I read all this talk about how men recover more slowly from break ups and one reason they suggested was because women usually have the role of being chased so they get more attention.

However isn't it also true that women who are looking for that awesome guy - that mostly has it all (a positive combination of "alpha/beta" traits) - that while she holds the keys to sex he holds the keys to relationships and marriage?

It seems completely unintuitive to me to say women have all the power. Guys also friendzone or "no" zone women by entirely not noticing them. My question is, are the power dynamics really that much in the woman's corner? It seems like if you are a guy with your stuff reasonably together you should have slightly more power in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry for my grammar.

Given me, usual shy guy, never asked a girl out before. Girl in the same course as mine, not outstandingly hot, but really cute, and definietly my type. Sits next to me, talkative, but only when talked to/asked about something, otherwise quiet. Tomorrow is the last day before a holyday, and I want to do something, because i'm gonna go mad, if I have to sit home throughout it, whitout even approaching her, but on the other hand, I'm scared, because if I fuck up, I still have to meet her every day for an other one and half week, and that would be embarrassing as hell.

I know nothing about her, other than it looks like that she talks to me gladly, and she is cute as fk.I don't really have time to talk to her, since she gets there right on the start, spends all the breaks with her brother, and after class, waits for him, so she is pretty much never alone, when we would have free time.

What do I do?

(Apart from going up to her, and start talking...Yeah, I realise that I'm not gonna go from a guy with slight social anxiety and never talking to anyone, to be a seduction god in 12 hours with nothing, but reading the answers, but I figured, I just might ask for some help here, since I'm kinda desperate. I mean I can talk to her, like casual chitt-chatting, but even thinking about asking her out or something more serious, I have zero idea what to say, and how to handle the situation.)

Need advice on game with someone I work with.

I work in a cafe, and one of the girls has caught my eye. I work a fair few shifts with her and am pretty comfortable with her.

How would I go about escalating this? I was planning on waiting for the work do or perhaps seeing her outside of work. Issue is we don't share the same social group or live anywhere near each other.

One of my great regrets in life is that I am not a great escalator yet.

The first problem is that I come from a no PDA culture. I have had two latin women escalate touch with me - locking arms and so forth. However as a man I feel like I don't know how to "kino escalate" or show a masculine polarity through hugs/touch. How do i figure this out? Should I just automatically be agressive about it and only back off when someone looks uncomfortable?

Also, how much direct interest is too much? If i tell a girl she looks fn cute, then try flattery, then ask them out... How far can I push these things? Yeah i show direct verbal interest in approaches. I just hold back.

I just want to reach that next stage where I can do both kino / verbal with correct timing.
