How often are women approached?

I was curious about this question and asked it to my female friends.

It seems to be that average girls you go for in club when you're drunk don't get cold approached at all.

However, if the girl is too beautiful, she probably experiences it from time to time. But still, it's not as much as they get approached in clubs. It takes guts to approach women full sober, men are very shy in that way.

So if you approach sober, you definitely seem more confident and more of a good choice than those 4-5 guys that approach everyone in the dancefloor.

It might not be a cold approach more of a subtle pass at the chick. I've seen tons of guys say "hi, how are doing" to a random girl. Every cute chick who meets a male will subtly get hit on by the dude. Then again, I live in a big city and it's not uncommon to see a cute girl get approached.

I kind of think it's over exaggerated how much women are cold approached. I'm not an ugly woman by any means and I've probably only been cold approached a handful of times. Same with all of the women I know. It definitely doesn't happen as often as I've read it does from people on Reddit.

Ok so I go out with a lot of girls (I mean go out as friends, girls that are only my friends that I've known for a long time), and I don't think I've ever seen them be approached by a sober guy ever. Like a guy that introduced himself with decent conversation. Now drunk guys? All the time, maybe 2/3 in a night. But they just shoo drunk guys away like the plague.

Yeah I think they get 'approached' as in a guy will tell them they're beautiful or say hi or offer to help them with something. Very few guys will directly approach her during the day.

Was wondering the same thing. I think women don't get truly approached often. And a true approach would be trying to start an actual conversation. A friend of mine told me she got comments like "hey beautiful" all the time. That's not really an approach.

I've asked my gf this sort of thing.

Things like getting shouted at from a distance will happen once maybe twice a month, depending in the city zone she's walking in.
Actually getting approached happens less often, but it still happens and she can't really frequent any place without getting approached. There are 2 or 3 guys at work that keep trying their luck. About a month and a half after we first started seeing each other, she took a week long vacation in Italy and got approached a few times (at least 3 times). Recently we went to Thailand together, and on the plane she got approached by a couple of guys who said her boyfriend was a lucky guy. She'll get facebook friend requests (shoots everyone who she's not actually friends with down) on a consistent basis. She can't go to the gym without getting approached or stared at (this actually makes her a bit anxious and she'll spend the time there with headphones in and looking down to avoid all the men).

Honestly, there's a world of difference between attractive women and us, it's not even close. They get approached so much more than we do. The amount of times I've been approached in my life are approximately the same amount of times she's been approached in a year.

A lot of hot girls that I know get 'approached' constantly but don't even realise it half the time, because they're so used to random people coming up to talk to them that it just seems normal to them. So I guess it depends on what you count as a true cold approach - does it have to clearly show romantic intent, or does a simple "hi" and smile count too?

I never got approached that much until my current job. Previously I owned a clothing store and before that managed a cafe, and I'd get flirted with a little here and there but not a lot. Now I manage a store where the majority of my customers are middle aged men and honestly I get hit on and asked out so much that it makes me really uncomfortable. I am friendly but not overly so and I really don't get what changed except the environment I work in. I actually stopped wearing makeup and any type of top that was tight fitting and it hasn't helped. I am not any more attractive now than I was a few years ago.. if anything I was cuter and in better shape then because I worked out a lot.

Yes, they are approached often. You'd be surprised how many times a guy starts a conversation in the produce aisle. Or on line at Starbucks. Or sitting at a bar. Or anywhere on a college campus.

However, that doesn't mean that they are SOLID approaches. You can do better. Approach 10 women a day for a year and let us know how it goes.

If they're fat they only get approached by black guys. Any woman who is not obscenely ugly or is of somewhat normal weight will get approached maybe once a month. In a club, an average looking woman of normal weight will get approached once per hour. Men never get approached unless they're cast from Apollo himself and even then women are very timid.
