If I can chime in here. I am 43, 5"6, and not particularly good looking at all really. Married for 15 years which ended a couple of years ago. I didn't have a girlfriend until I was 23.

I have to pinch myself to believe what the last couple of years has been like for me. I am currently dating a 28 year old girl who my (great) friend said to me he would "pay anything to sleep with".

Somehow I am without a doubt dating 10s. I have a decent job, but I'm not particularly outgoing or charismatic either. What I have done though is genuinely be interested in them as people. Talk to them, engage them, look below the surface. Find out their interests, their passions, what makes them tick. People are amazing, and everyone has a story. I now have an incredible group of female friends I can call up at any point and go for a drink with. When you treat a woman as a person instead of a sex object, it is something that makes you stand out as a man. Forget all the pick up crap. Sure you might get to go home with them once, but then you've got to go out and try it all over again with someone else the next night. Just be decent, honest, kind, interested, confident in yourself (not cocky), and fun. It could be that this comes with age, and I certainly didn't have this in my 20s or even 30s. But for all the nerds out there who dreamed of getting the cheerleader, just want to let you know it is possible :)

Most people are so much in their head, feeling inadequate that they don’t realise that others might feel inadequate as well. Only narcissistic doesn’t think like this, and that’s about 6% of the population. Reality is, high achieving people out there are high achieving because they have doubt.

Honestly the thing is beautiful women have lower downside risk. They are desirable so they don't have a lot of defense mechanisms like average looking women do. Average looking women need to game guys. Beautiful women got of all trump cards in their hands, they don't need to make maneuvers or play you, they are perfectly willing to let you do your thing because what you do doesn't really matter, they can get what they want 99% of the time.

I have hesitated just going up to her, because a rejection would make the rest of the semester awkward (it's happened before lol). Literally went through this this week. Approached a girl at the mall we both work at who I've thought is smoking hot, and now have gone on 2 dates. And of course, says the other night "I've never had a guy approach me like that", and I had a feeling that was the case.

Some of the most attractive girls come off intimidating in a way because you think she's too hot for you too have a chance, but fucking go for it and talk to her because you don't know at all. Went through/going through this right f'ing now. Trust me.

If they are so great take $10 or $20 and go down to the local strip club. They will talk to you as you tip them. Regular pretty girls will seem average compared to them during the week.
