Little background on me: classic story of overweight High schooler blossomed in college, lost a lot of weight and whaadya know I have a decent jawline. A lot of women pursue the guy who doesn’t show much interest in them. They also tend to be insecure and codependent, which is what she is displaying. Don’t expect my a lot of long term potential to come from this gimmick, but if you like hookups it’s an easy way of hooking up successfully (though you’ll regret being this kind of asshole in the future). Answering that question at all (or not being sure what she wanted you to say) is problematic. You’re either not her type (she’s used to strong and silent), or, you are her type (which is “so not what she needs”).

So in that scenario, your best bet was to deflect confidently. “We’ll have to see”, or “depends on how you behave” would be good responses to her bait of “you’re not one of those types, are you?”
