I understand it totally. I watched the movie Titanic a few days ago (yeah, I know I'm pretty late because I somehow didn't get interested in watching it till recently) and I just went "what on earth" seeing that "women and children first" scene. I mean it does make sense to save the children first, but women? We can save ourselves and some who are strong enough can save others as well. It's just nonsensical that men are expected to be expendable for women.

Reality (in the west): Nobody even talks about men. Women have their own advocacy departments "Gender Studies" in most colleges. Most governments have departments to advance women's rights. Anyone who worries about men is dismissed as a 'misogynist'.

there will be a time, in the future, when the pendulum swings back and men are recognized. It's just..not now. for now, we don't engage. We don't get in arguments about it. We crack down and do our work. I'm hopeful we can start saying no more often when requests don't align with our values. Let the women complain about that. Let the media go on and on about this generation of "abandoned" men. I plan on meeting my commitments and teaching my boys to do the same. I'm hopeful we can start questioning others and how they think men should behave. Now is the time to start generating our own values, and not letting the women in our lives dictate them.

Read the book way of a superior man and strive. No one cares unless you’re moving forward on your direction - even you don’t care. Can’t change biology even though we try w/ laws etc.

It's really simple. This isn't about oppression or withholding rights from someone or anything like that. It's just the basic understanding that people who aren't held responsible or accountable for their actions have no business having a voice in the creation of laws and rules that will not be applied to them equally.

The 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America has got to be repealed before all men become slaves. You have to understand when someone creates a law and they know it's never going to be applied to them but they can create laws that are applied to others it's a very destructive situation.

I would save my self over any women or children. I would go the extra mile saving my children and my children's mom. Sacrificing my life? No. Risking my life may make sense.

But women and children that's not even family?

I won't even sacrifice $1 to save them. LOL
