What have you done to make yourself more attractive to potential partners? Most people bond best with those who have similar interests. Are you putting yourself in spaces to meet people with similar interests?

Also, I see in other comments that you have evaluated that many of your male friends are above average and fit/slim and that most of their partners are a bit more round and average. Have you considered that many of your male friends are attracted to bigger women, but you are not, and are therefore underestimating how attractive these women are to your friends and overestimating how attractive your male friends are? Attractiveness isn’t always about physical features or body type, so it’s worth examining what non-physical attributes these partnered people in your circle have that are working for them instead of focusing solely on the physical.

I would say you need to expand your social circle, but I'm not sure it would help. It's possible, but unlikely that all the women you know are dating men who most people would say are more attractive than them. It seems more likely you have a distorted and harsher view of women than most other people, which depending on your standards and what you have to offer, will make dating more challenging.

edit: Realised I may have misinterpreted your statement "All of the woman I am close with are dating men who are above average at least despite most being average." Did you mean most men (in general) being average, or most women (that you are close with) being average?

Idk what age you are, but I'm 23 and currently engaged to my wonderful fiance. I think he's at least attractive because other women have hit on him, but because I understand I have personal bias, I'm not able to really tell ya if he is conventionally attractive, above average or what not. I can recognize beauty as an artist. It's just not what attracts me. All I cam say is he's the most beautiful human being on earth because he's mine <3.

If you haven't met one irl, maybe you need to consider what it is about you that attracts "shallow" people. (I say "shallow" because in my mind, so long as it's not taken too far, people who are attracted to looks over personality aren't more shallow than myself. It's a ridiculous notion, imo but that's just me. Even I'd hate it if I were to ever find out my fiance didn't think I was pretty) At some point, you must consider yourself as the common denominator. You're either in the wrong crowd because of other circumstances or because those are the people you attract. Regardless, it's up to you to change that.

The answer to this is more nuanced than you’re making it out to be. I would say that, first of all, there are a portion of men who, without behavior and maybe physical modification, probably won’t be able to get a woman. Female-kind doesn’t owe you anything, and if you have certain failings, you won’t attract someone.

The good news is that most of these failings are within your control. The first would be hygiene related: bad breath, body odor, other bad hygiene, etc. These will chase women off fast. The good news is, this is within your control.

The second is a big turnoff and becomes a bigger problem the later you go in life, but that’s having no ambition / life purpose and can seem to someone on the outside like the guy isn’t going to “add” anything to the woman’s life. Some guys have some positive traits in such excess that they can get around this, at least for a while, such as being very good looking or having the ability to manipulate, but most guys who are aimless and not making enough to support a family or at least help carry their load are highly likely to end up alone. But if you’re ugly and unambitious… you’re going to struggle. The good news is, this is within your control.

A person’s emotional health matters a great deal. It’s hard to atttact someone when you’re depressed. Or bitter.

Substance issues will hurt attraction for most of the women in this world.

The way a person dresses matters. I started getting more interest when I started dressing well. This is within your control.

Weight matters. Partners will often (but not always) stick with someone when they lose weight. But it hurts your attractiveness. More good news: this is largely within your control.

A physical deformity would probably make it really hard to date. If that’s what you mean by ugly, that could present a major challenge. But sometimes people with those struggles find love. I’d advise someone in that situation to focus on what they can control and try to become truly funny and fun to be around.

So… it’s not so much that ugly guys can’t get girls. Take an ugly guy, give him impeccable personal hygiene, a lot of ambition, have him be positive emotionally and funny, dress him smart and have him work out every day and eat well, and you have a person who might not be terribly attractive genetically but my money is on that person getting a girl.

So… it kind of matters how you define ugly. If you mean, “doesn’t look like Brad Pitt”, I’d say that plenty of guys who don’t look like Brad Pitt get girls. If you or your “ugly friends” have some of the unattractive (yes unattractive whether politically correct or not) traits I mentioned above, you’re going to struggle.

One problem with Red Pill is that it paints women with too broad of a brush and makes it sound like they’re all super vain and shallow and just want to hypergameously sleep with every virile male. But the one thing it gets right- kind of by accident- is that to be attractive you need to try to, well, be attractive. The good news is that this is more within your control than you might think.

I hope this helps. There are positive life changes that any person can make that will increase their chances of being attractive, regardless of where they fall in the genetic lottery.

This is the problem with denying the red pill. You basically have to deny the dating reality for a lot of people. I guarantee the vast majority of people on this sub are not ex-red pillers. They were never red-pilled to begin with.
