I think it's hilarious that people still don't know what's going on. The fact is women think a romantic committed relationship is the same as being an escort.

They know their sole contribution to any relationship is literally, sex and being "good" company. And anything beyond these two things is a man's responsibility in the relationship.

And I'm not being facetious when I say this, they really think it's your responsibility to do everything for them and provide everything for them because, they spread their legs once in awhile and aren't a b**** all the time. This also means that they don't have to be faithful to you because you're asking too much for them not to take dick from another man while you're paying all their bills, housing them and anybody but them doing their laundry, etc.

They don’t fucking care about low value men (their perception, not mine)

Literally 60% of the dating pool of men can tap out and they’ll be content sharing the top level men. Theres no evidence that suggests women will prefer monogamy with a decent but low value man vs sharing an alpha male

There are plenty of good men who are still looking. Clearly women aren't all that bothered or they would reach out to those men or make a bigger effort to understand and empathize with men, and they are doing neither.

When I think about it, I think I can narrow down what men want in life into two categories: prestige and comfort.

Prestige, glory, or honor, can come in many forms, from being a hotshot CEO, to being recognized as a good father, all way to the extreme that you sometimes see in memes and videos "We're surrounded men! Fight to your last breath! FOR THE EMPIRE!". That recognition is important for men, even when we don't directly receive it in the form of actually being connected, by name. No one knows the name of the Viking warrior who held the bridge at Stamford in 1066, but we still discuss how badass he was and I'm sure he'd be very pleased to know that, despite us not knowing his name.

On the other side is comfort, more specifically: homemaking, food, children, and yes, sex. Yet even sex often pales in comparison to the simply act of a woman holding her man and saying, "Shhh, it's okay. I'm here for you." I mean, just look up ASMR on Youtube and see the near countless videos of "GF/Wife/Fiance/Roommate/Maid comforts you after a bad day/nightmare/argument". A woman who can provide comfort like that, WILL find a man. Yet, that's the problem. So many women either can't or outright refuse to do something like that for anyone (while also expecting it themselves, along with $$).

So yeah, men are checking out on relationships and society and it's very easy to understand why if you look at these two desires. Society doesn't value men's contributions anymore, thus there's no prestige, so why not play video games where you can still be the hero or savior? And women don't provide the comfort, so why risk your wealth, your self-respect, your reputation, your freedom, and in some terrible cases, your life, for someone who won't give you what you so desperately crave and, I'm going to say it, deserve?

While I'm not upset about men checking out...I don't like the idea that many of them are just isolating. I think that's a bad idea.

If you game, try to move closer to your online gaming friends...within an hour drive if you can.

If you make music, do jam sessions with other men.

If you're smart, find other smart people to discuss ideas with or work on projects with.

I think a lot of men underestimate how much space you have in your life once you "check out". We also underestimate how little there is for men to do in the world outside of work or dating...most of the real-world is oriented for women, or couples. If men isolate, it will inevitably stay that way.
