Yes they should if a woman is claiming someone is the father and the government is trying to force them to pay child support. If the woman refuses to allow a test to be done to prove the man is the father, then the man shouldn't be forced to pay child support. Trying to force a man to pay for a child he doesn't even know is his, that not even the court knows is his, is wrong.

Yes, because it's not so easy to walk away after finding out you've been raising someone else's child for the last decade. Society will also call you a piece of shit for leaving. It's shitty for both the kids and the man, the woman is the only piece of shit in that scenario.

If 'best interest of the child' was true then mandatory paternity testing would be a thing. The truth is, they just don't give a shit about men and simply see them as providers.

Absolutely. Lemme tell a story. I fucked a high school fling when I was 25'ish. She was visiting.

I find out she's married. And crazy. She gets pregnant. Well after the kid is born she moves back and claims the kid is mine. State says it's mine and not the man who lived with her because she claimed as much and I have to prove otherwise.

I get a letter saying I'm scheduled for a meeting to explain what's going on. I go there and it's 100% staffed by women who, very clearly, HATE men and have an axe to grind. I eventually get called back. She pulls out a swab and reaches to stick it in my mouth and I say something like "what the fuck?" and her only response was... "you're not going to do this huh?" -- "DO WHAT?! WHAT IS GOING ON?" and they flip their shit. I'm done. I get a lawyer. You. Cannot. Trust. The. State. Those women clearly have issues and no way am I giving my DNA to those people. Nope. I do not trust them.

I had to take a DNA test at the courthouse. He (husband, later ex-husband) never did.

The kid was not mine.

I ran into her at the grocery store a year ago. I'm over 40 now. She STILL swears the kid is mine because, get this, her ex-husband never took a DNA test.

The amount of feminist friends I lost because of this showed me feminism is not about equality. Then when I showed I wasn't the father those "friends" wanted to play nice. Fuck off. You showed your real intentions. We're done.

I think tests should be mandatory at birth, regardless of the parent’s wishes.

Paternity fraud is an actual thing and if someone has a problem with mandatory testing they have something to hide. There are too many stories of women convincing or guilting men that children are theirs.

If it turn out she committed paternity fraud and received child-care money has to be returned or if they stayed together and he wants out of the lie she produced the breakup/divorce is automatically conducted and she looses any claim to any financial or otherwise help.

Notice how progressive I am. I am not even criminalizing the act of defrauding a man of his entire life on the basis of infidelity and lack of loyalty. So not a crime with punishment, but just a reactionary legal piece that at least opens the road for him to get out.

Not going to happen of course.

We all know the statistics.

If they would do that, and suddenly accountability and truth found their way to women (I would say modern women, but historical data doesn't look that much better), then all societies would end immediately. And I am not kidding about that one. Yes, there is a group of loyal good women, I would estimate them according to all the data I got to be in the 20% to 30% range - not enough to make society work.

Albeit IF mankind had the balls to do that, we may see a very different new society afterwards that would be infinitely better.

Always make a test without informing the mother. Even if you think she wouldn't cheat on you, you still have 2% chance of having misjudged her and not being the father.

This doesn't look like a court, it's more like a TV studio where people have fun rehearsing the scripts.

At any rate, the fact he's been unfaithful to his wife shouldn't matter to anyone in that building other than that man. This is especially true for the judge who should only mind her job and the fact there's a child who needs support from someone.

Having said that, for the moment men still have the right to make sure a child is biologically linked to them before being forced to pay.

Looking at how that woman talks and behave, I can see why this man was not sure to be the father.

By the way, DNA test should be mandatory like any other test that hospitals run when a child is born.

Those women that deny this right to men are all hiding something.

Now I will say, part of me wants to tit for tat here a little bit. We're talking about rights specifically involving an unborn/born child. You all want your rights, but remember women cannot obtain abortions, even for health concerns, in a lot of states right now.

Men shouldn't be trapped by a child. It is inhumane to both the man and child and overall a horrific, sick idea.

They should be part of the first prenatal checkup, at that point they're a couple hundred bucks (would be less if more common) and are a simple blood draw.

A positive paternity test should be required to name a father on the birth certificate and a negative one should be automatic win for an at-fault divorce if married.

I'd go so far as to say a negative test should be grounds for felonious fraud, with worse penalties the older the kid is when the alleged father finds out.

It shouldn't be that controversial.

Unlike men women are always sure the child is hers. So, as a society which wants equality between men and women (yes yes I know... ). Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had the technology to be able to know if the man is the actual father of that child, like women do, so men and women are more equal and we can fix another gap between men and women? Big news, we got that technology.

If society had a real will to fix gaps between genders, no one had any problem with paternity test. After all if women are able to know if the child is hers, why not men? Why is such a hot take?.

People seem to like when women have exclusive advantages. You know... It's like a little gift that nature has given to them. How can those souless MRA dare to think about taking that gift away from women.

The truth is the law is moving in the opposite direction. Countries have already made such testing illegal or are moving to do so unless the government orders it.

It's actually a pattern.

Left to free market women will ask in front how much child support she will be getting and the whole thing can be resolved by simple contracts or even escrows.

When government regulate, the woman themselves cannot agree on the amount. A woman, for example, may agree to have children with Elon for $5k a month. She can't. The amount of child support is decided by court. Elon knowing he will be liable for far more than $5k may choose to reject her.

The amount is proportional to man's wealth. The purpose is to prevent rich men from fathering many children.

The amount encourages women to take away children from father. She got paid if she get full custody.

The money doesn't improve the child's future financial success... I mean a father cannot replace that by simply paying the child when the child is 18

And yes, false paternity support due to paternity fraud is celebrated. Think about it. Many poor men and feminists simply want to financially ruin rich men. So false paternity support that hurt rich men are celebrated by leftists.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this to be recited before any man’s name is placed on the birth certificate.

But the hospitals have the woman and the baby as the patients legally and are not concerned about the guys that get deceived by a lying and cheating mother.

One thing that’s for sure the women will use all the resources to prevent any such change in law.

I find it strange that when a woman is pregnant, both "parents" are not tested to make sure the baby belongs to both. As well as testing for other things like diseases. If a woman demands a man is he father, then the burden of proof needs to fall on her. And that would mean testing. then again, if a woman refuses to let a man test for fatherhood, she should be arrested and the test done anyway.

I would point out that the title of that video, alongside the picture of that woman, is misleading. She absolutely did have to prove it. The judge behaved entirely correctly (as did the man, strictly in the context of the hearing. Sleeping with a much younger receptionist while married is another matter).
