That largely depends on your sample. From what I’ve seen people from more troubled or just low socioeconomic class are much more into the idea that “a man has to be tough” and it’s often implanted in the worst way of it by guys just being toxic bullies. If a woman believes in this crap, she’ll treat these men better.

That’s not the case in my social circle though. I’m from Asian background. You do not get credit for being a reckless bully. People either will be rude to you in return or will ignore and isolate you with the exception for older relatives or people with higher status in some cases.

I don’t treat rude guys better, I just don’t hang out with them.

No. If someone is rude to you then you are more likely to be rude back. I can only see them seeming "sweeter" if it's in a condescending or sarcastic way. People generally mirror the way others act towards them. In the case of the drunk man I wouldn't call that being "sweet" she probably just didn't want to feel responsible if he ended up dead in a ditch, it's just basic human decency to make sure someone is safe even if they're rude.

No. If the women you date are actively disrespecting you, have a conversation with them. Respect is earned but it may just be a difference in boundaries. Ie talking about something personal. Maybe you are being perceived as being disrespectful and a simple conversation can easily smooth things over from a misunderstanding.

Stop making blanket conclusions based on singular experiences. You men don’t like women doing that (the bear issue) so have conversations instead of asking people on the internet.

Some are, some aren't. Unfortunately that's the answer to many questions here, since there's a whole lotta women on this planet and we're all living our own lives.

Personally no, I'm not nicer to rude guys. If they're being rude or disrespectful to either myself or others, they're just marking themselves as men to avoid completely. I'm very turned off, in an almost visceral way, by men (and women) who act so uncivilized and lack all common courtesy.

Have I seen women who are nice/sweet to rude men? Yup. And in my experience they're usually rude or bitchy themselves when you get to know them. Like attracts like, I suppose. You dodge a bullet every time they show their true colors.

Sometimes we have to be for the sake of our own safety. Sorry for your struggles in dating, friend. Remember your worth, you deserve to be respected by your woman, so make sure that a rude, disrespectful woman has zero prospects of being with you.
