Yeah it sucks I'm not going to sugarcoat it. If I were there I would give you a big giant man hug and tell you that everything's going to be okay for real we all I think know the feeling unless our exes turned out to be some kind of celibate after the marriage thing but that ain't happening

I posted a few months ago when I learned my ex had jumped into a new relationship with the first guy that came along 7 weeks after telling me she wanted to divorce, and we were married just shy of 20 years.

There was one line a commenter left that resonated so well for me and I think of it often:

It’s a feature, not a bug my man.

Her whoring around is not a reflection on you whatsoever. She’s following the blue print of what so many of our exes here have done.

It’s painful and it hurts to know how easily they seem to move on from us, but you’ve now seen her true colors and hopefully you can use that to start to move on yourself.

Stop with the flirting though, that’s keeping you stuck in the mud and giving you the hope of something that does not exist.

See her and talk to her as little as possible. My wife started cheating on me about a year ago, most days I’m ok enough. Pretty much an empty husk, but ok enough to drag myself to school, work, and take care of things that I have to take care of. The bad days are always because I talked to her or saw her. It’s hard to get over someone when you’re in love, the only thing you can do is avoid her and replace her if you can… Unfortunately, if you’re not an ok looking female, it isn’t exactly as easy as taking an interest in someone to replace a partner.
