Feminists are just angry man-haters. Just get used to them yelling and screaming, that is their last resort because MOST are unable to have civil arguments and discussions about the ideas.

I was married to one, does that count? There was certainly a lot of screaming, and it got significantly worse after Trump was elected in 2016. I tell people my marriage started failing because Trump was elected. She went hard on the anti-white male rhetoric and patriarchy talk, then embraced her victim status. Of course, if I brought up how she constantly complained about being a victim she would declare she is a strong independent woman (who just happened to be completely dependent on me) and that was the reason she was oppressed by society. I eventually had enough and filed for divorce. Now she tries to bring that shit up and I just end the call.

Had a coworker who was very outwardly feminist.

Like, "men this, men that," and everything.

She wasn't a psychopath, she knew what she was saying is sexist.

But she was also a self-proclaimed libertarian who hated capitalism. So, very contradictory.

Feminists organic to the movement are relatively scarce, but feminists of convenience who've picked a few ideological weapons that are particularly suited to their character and situation are so widespread that I'd be skeptical of any man who claims he's never met one.

And how have I dealt with them? With a lot of stoicism, and throwing them out of my life as soon as I could.

Society isn’t ready to see them as wrong. As soon as they start telling you lost because you let her (paradoxically) make you the oppressor that she’s punching up against.

It’s unfortunate but it’s extremely difficult to meet them head on because they and their supporters aren’t bound by reason. Social pressure is the only thing that matters to them

The ones I meet in real life aren’t nearly as ridiculous as the ones I see on Reddit.

I have brushed up against a few extremists, but I treat them like I do any extremist, I avoid them and I no longer have any issues.

It’s pretty simple for me, I don’t really entertain toxic people, regardless of their opinion, lots of extremists here too.

I don’t usually encounter the extreme feminists. I don’t have any issues with standing up for women’s rights but I don’t tolerate those who would put others down. My go-to is to ignore them or avoid them. No sense in getting into it with someone who will judge you based on your gender/sex and refuses to hear anything contrary to their beliefs.

A lot of non-activist feminists (wrongly) believe that feminism just means equal rights and does not come with any additional baggage at all. Patriarchy theory is the foundational belief of feminism - it simply isn't possible to reject patriarchy theory and claim to be feminist.

Knowing this, a very large chunk of people claim to be feminist, but not all of those people are actually feminist. If their words actually mattered, then everyone in this subreddit has dealt with them numerous times.

it is best to avoid feminists when you can. you cannot win against those people. just like you cannot convert a cult member by telling them how stupid their beliefs are, you cannot convert a feminist showing how all their arguments are fallacies. it is mostly an emotional attachment that keeps them in that mindset not logical reasoning. if someone you are close to have feminist beliefs your best bet is use socratic method to make them question their beliefs, never ever directly argue with them it will make them more defensive and hold on more to their belief system.

The best way to quash feminism is to let society grind to a halt for a couple years. Once the luxuries we've built and maintained are no longer available, feminism will dissolve as it requires modern society to operate.

You just ignore them and when you get to change to give them a hard time you grab it and milk it while being as respectful as possible while they act like screaming banshees.

Have also had them put hands on me and I dont play that game I dont go full hands on but I definitely end up on the floor cause a grabed her and did not let her go as i called the cops. And when she kept hitting i twisted her arm behind her back and where it happened had cameras so she got her in trouble. She is lucky cause I accept no one to punch me not from my kid, not my wife, not my damn mom. Il definitely not accept it from someone I have far far far less respect for.

Cause I don't think anyone is worthy of anything they not willing to give them self that includes the right to respect safety or understanding.

I'll never give a free pass to violence and a believe how you treat others you deserve to be treated back.

And if you think it's OK to full on hate men for existing I think men can treat you with the same distain in kind. Not all women. But the people with that mindset. Cause how you treat others others should be allowed to treat you.

Even have moments that I have a party with frends both men and female frends I make it a case also to pay for people I like and people I don't like the exclude them and make them pay for there own shit. If I don't like you I can be a real asshole and I'm proud of that cause I treat people how I want to be treated. But if people treat me like shit or like an enemy il treat you the same way. I don't think it's anything but being fair.

And I think that's by far the easiest way to handle those people the same way they treat you. But more calm and collected so more people will true against them or take your side.

Yes, everyday, online. A few times offline.

What I've learned is to not engage with them, because they do not value discussion about reality. They only have one goal. Shut you up, expect you to believe their lunacy, or make you disappear.

I've learned to surround myself with women who actually like men, and stay away from the feminists, as their weakness is when you don't interact.

I mean, I still interact if she isn't too vile, but when I do, I stick with the facts. Once they shame me with shit talk, I shame them for their immaturity and end the conversation. Telling them I expect them to have the last word and paint themselves positively because they can't resist. So when they do, it's known that I was right.

What's left behind is a reasonable thought from me, and unreasonable wild tirades from them, that people learn from. Which people outside of the conversations I have are learning from what I say, and how I deal with them.

I think it makes sense to think about feminism as a faith or a belief system.

So, how to deal with a hardcore Christian or Hindu believer?

Does it make sense to argue that it’s silly to belive in the world being created 7000y ago by a supernatural being? Probably not.

Does it make sense to argue that there is no evidence of a spiritual afterlife?

You either believe or you don’t. Same thing with feminism. No sense in trying to dispute the presence of patriarchy to a feminist believer.

I mostly keep to myself and have so far avoided the screaming feminist. However, there was one time (when I was very young a naive in 2017) I wore a maga hat and that attracted attention but that only got an angry leftist yelling at me at worst. I just simply smiled and kept walking.

I'm in a social science at one of the most progressive universities in the united states. I used to just keep my head down. Now I have one term left and i'm enjoying openly dissenting every chance I get. I think it's been nice seeing that a lot of them are blind to gaps in the narratives we use to simplify each other. On the same note, it's also been a challenge to me to expand my understanding and see where their resentment comes from, that some of them have been treated as less than, and that bitterness has narrowed their view of men to "people who think of me as less than" rather than someone who has a much deeper, richer view of gender dynamics and the social roles and problems we all face. It really depends on where you're having the conversation.

I've interacted with several. Use to be left-wing. Most are okay and up for a discussion. I've learned all sorts of tactics about several of their issues. For example, wanting to ban porn or being for sex work. For the screaming ones. These are femcels. They are scared to lose a man yet scared of being taken advantage of. Sometimes it's been best to hear out their fears and explain men aren't as bad as they think or getting them to understand men don't have it easier. Sometimes it also best to walk away when they always have a but... They aren't willing to change their beliefs, just like most people
