Because it benefits them, duh? And many will keep supporting them even when it's at the expense of men.

Great example is Ukraine - from 1.25mil army only 45000 are women - less than 3%, mostly medical and admin. staff. And there are bunch of incentives for them to volunteer, but they don't.

Feminism gives access to reserved jobs seats without having to compete on equal terms.

Same with university seats.

Feminism gave them the Duluth Model, so they don't have to work, they can just get full custody based on a lie that will never be verified and live off the child support.

In Canada feminists push for common-law marriage, so that when kids are born(read they rape men by telling them they are on the pill), they get access to half his pension, house and other assets. Yes, genders roles, but only the ones they like!

I am a woman and I am absolutely not a feminist. Any kind of sociopolitical label of any kind straight up gives me hives. I care that things are good for everyone and that no one is slighted or that their difficulties in society are ignored, including issues that men suffer from every day. But I would agree with you that the majority of women I know are feminists and there’s a lot of variation in how they describe their orientation towards that label. Unfortunately it feels like a cult to me, and I have an aversion to that as well.

Ever since it began back in the 18th century from Europe, feminists typically seek “equal opportunities, equal pay, equal representation, and an end to gender-based violence and other forms of discrimination”. Ok fair enough.

Problem is ever since today’s feminists are very different. They understand the upper hand they’re beginning to have over men & absolutely love it, because this is something they’ve been wanting for years. Feminism makes women feel empowered (I.e. girl boss). So more & more younger women want to become feminists.

Problem is a lot (not all, but a lot) of THESE feminists display a hatred towards men (I.e fuck men, men are garbage, men are trash), try to falsely accuse of harassment & love to shame in the gym (I.e. record on video in the gym for glancing). And a lot of times, if you match on dating apps & do not have the same political views as her then you’re a bigot/sexist/etc. 😑

They are feminists only when it suits. If not, they all of a sudden speak about traditional gender roles and they have become "incubators" suddenly and that's why male only mobilization in Ukraine (or any Titanic-styled situation) is ok.

Thankfully there are women out there that actually choose to work hard, but I'm not sure of the percentage. I also notice they tend to be immigrant women

I once asked the question, on the childfree form, "Why do people assume I'm a feminist, when they find out I'm childfree?"

Everyone responded to this question with intense hostility. The fact that I wasn't a feminist, was, apparently, unthinkably demonic.

I asked why they were freaking out, and was told that I was, by default, anti equality and anti women, if I didn't specifically identify as a feminist. I pointed out, that I am a female, and that I do, in fact, firmly believe in equality. I was still deemed to be the biggest asshole on the planet for not specifically identifying as a feminist.

In short, these people are totally brainwashed.

Feminism is based on the oh so popular victim/victimizer (oppressed/oppressor) model that constantly seeks out it's boogeyman. This compliments itself extremely well with female psychology of perceivably innate innocence where they aren't accountable for anything.

So in the woes of daily and professional life, her problems are effective immediately... Entirely your fault, because, from what society says 24/7... She's a victim and you're the oppressor. So of course you're the scapegoat to all her problems and feminism is the ideology/agenda that fuels the fires of public and societal impression and perception.

I've been with outspoken feminist girls before as much as I've been with girls that probably didn't identify as much with feminism. The outspoken feminist girls were ALWAYS a train wreck in relationships, can't be yourself to the point you can't even sit comfortably wide legs spread for the comfort because suddenly you're a "machista" patriarchal oppressor. Those relationships end pretty quickly either way because like I said, she's looking for the boogeyman patriarch in every guy and the men closest to her are the target.

The other types of girls usually are cool most of the time but my experience is that it doesn't matter if she's not usually feminist, because her girlfriends are feminist for her, so of course they have to poison her relationship with you because as much as feminism is used as a tool of empowerment it's also a weapon based on insecurities so of course the feminist gal friends besties can't stand that's she's happy in a relationship and they're not and they'll come up with all sorts of excuses to villainize you and suddenly everything you did (good and bad) in the relationship is twisted into you trying to control and subjugate her or whatever her friends are telling her. So like I said... Doesn't really matter if she doesn't really identify with being a feminist or not.

80+ years of indoctrination. So it’s multiple generations of discarding the usefulness of men in many ways. Basically the average woman has transformed through the advent of social media and tv propaganda to believe that men are useless while still ironically relying on them to maintain all of society and foregoing motherhood for traditionally masculine duties. It’s hard to tell women that their most important value to humanity is family, when they have the freedom to live like queens independent of men. This juxtaposition has destroyed the balance of relationships, created confusion on duties we have, influenced policy, obliterated companionship through marriage, and reduced the birthrate below replacement rate. Not to mention, DEI, BLM, rigged elections, that all play into the feminist framework.

If this is what you think, you've never lived in my neighborhood. Most of the women and girls here are traditional, not feminists. They actually despise feminists.

A specific demographic of women are feminists. And sexuality definitely plays a part. Just read what the big feminists speakers say, like Monique:

Feminism is disguised as something that helps women. First and second wave feminism REALLY DID help women. Good women get confused. They feel like their following their morals by aligning with modern feminism. The problem is that women are actually not oppressed. And now their all validated to believe that they are correct. So like the problem is not with feminists themselves, but with the ideology.

And I realize this is a male sub, but I'm gonna be brutally honest. Men are not much better in today's day and age. They have a similar problem where they are motivated by sex. There is a flood of sexual stimulus in modern culture. The problem there is sex is actually not the goal of a relationship. So good men get confused, too

What I honestly believe, is that most of the women who are feminists are really just women who had bad experiences with men all throughout their life, stemming from either their fathers, or toxic ex boyfriends they mistakenly chose to be with, that honestly gave them trauma to the point it just made them hate men in general. Even the ones in countries like latin america and some asían countries are like that, because feminism give then benefits, they want their own benefit, i have met women that disagree with the concepts and ideas of feminism, but they are pretty uncommon, i can count them with just one hand. And things just get worse in settings like colleges, that places are feminist and liberal caves.

Most women are buffet feminists, picking carefully the advantages of men with none of the disadvantages:
They want to vote, but not be conscripted.
They want equal pay, but men must lift the heavy boxes.
They wanted to be 50% of graduates, but are happy to now be 60% of graduates.
They want men to do the dishes, but also want men to be first downstairs if there is a possible burglar.
Some want to join the army, but don't want to (or can't) pass the same physical tests.
They want quotas for C-suite jobs but don't want to work in concreting or carpentry.
They want to be invited on dates, but, despite equal pay, want men to pick up the tab.

Once you see this, you'll see it everywhere.

Feminism is heterodox with a range that spans "opinions women have". No hate, but the term is beyond meaningless till you get into names. For as huge as the names Anthony, Beauvoir, Wollstonecraft, and Goldman are, the only thing they really had in common was being female authors.

I find it low key offensive their work was defined by their gender even if gender was a big focus of their work. Their actual suggestions regarding gender wildly conflicted.

“feminism” as well as any base that seeks equality (be it call, communism, BLM, lgbt rights, etc) As a base it doesn't sound bad, and we may even defend their right to exist and express themselves.

All trouble starts when these social and political movements begin to be directed against problacion in a narrative of revenge and retribution. What gives leaders who are either like Stalin, the Black Panthers, the Scum manifesto, pedo rights. They move through hatred, resentment and revenge.
