Met this girl while traveling. She was attractive, smart, and we had chemistry. We went on a date and spent one day together and it was great. After I left the city, I pulled back. I usually don’t keep in touch after travel hookups to avoid emotional attachment and to do not give hopes since i wouldn't consider LDR.

She later asked what happened and said she wanted honesty so she could grow. I told her I find her attractive and interesting but prefer to protect myself when I travel (so she doesn't feel used and think it's her problem).She replied asking if that means I only date boring or unattractive women while traveling. I didn’t respond.

Now I’m unsure if I should have handled it differently. Should I keep in touch or just let it fade? How do you guys deal with this kind of situation?
