Thanks to this subreddit I was finally able to bring someone home after fumbling the bag time and time again. While I believe this is cause for celebration I still want to analyze what went wrong and seek advice, but I'm not exactly sure what went wrong.

I want to keep this generic to keep the post from being removed, but I saw L at a club with a couple friends and noticed L gave me a choosing signal. I go out alone 90% of the time and admittedly I was a bit tipsy, but I immediately jumped on it and asked her to meet me at the bar. She left her friends and met me at the bar where I ordered her a drink.

I escalated physically and verbally. I also showed value (I think that's the term) by constantly talking to other girls and making them laugh whenever she wasn't looking. So when she came back I was always talking to someone else.

Eventually L and I got a ride back to my place and this is where things went downhill... I think?

I've never actually had a girl in my room before... I also wasn't expecting to bring someone back that night ( like every other night), so I didn't clean much. My place wasn't a horrible, but it could have been a but neater and cleaner.

I started playing records and we danced for a bit and I got her to the bed where we started making out. To be honest I'm not too good at it from lack of experience (or if I'm decent at it I'm not sure). When I got my shirt off and her pants off L said she didn't want to have sex anymore, so I pulled back.

We ended up drawing each other naked and listening to music until we fell asleep spooning all night... She left in the morning and I texted to lmk if she got back alright and she hasn't responded yet.

Question: Where exactly did I go wrong here? It was honestly awkward as hell once we got back to my place and super awkward once we got in bed. Once we took sex off the table I feel like it kinda calmed down.
