It will be difficult as you will have trains running with the female only carriages not at full capacity while the other will be even more packed.

The problem is trains and trams are absolute John West sardine cans in the morning and afternoon rush. There will be more problems if you restrict male travellers.

The irony is it's feminists who wanted to abolish sex segregation. It teaches the sexes to see each other are different. Primarily women are prey men are predators. Now they want is all back.

I wouldn't be opposed to male/female only carriages. But like make male only carriages a thing too alongside women only. That way capacity is split in half.

My grandmother was racist.

She felt unsafe riding in carriages with black people. At one time it was appropriate for black people to ride in seperate carriages or at the back to assuage that fear.

Were black people wrong for existing?

Or were racists wrong for feeling unsafe around them?

It was not that long ago.

And here we are again. Women's fears, no matter how bigoted, determining social policy and behavior. Never, EVER, were women's role in perpetuating hatred critically examined or even called to task.

One thing that makes this especially problematic is that they aren’t proposing separate trains for men, too, so men would have unequal access to public transportation.

The funny thing is that having separate trains for men might reduce sexual harassment more than having separate trains for women.

Having separate trains for men would further reduce crowding in the unisex trains and reduce the number of men in the unisex trains. Also, that might improve safety for some transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people who have to use the unisex trains.

Also, the irony is that without the separate male trains, the unisex trains could have more men and be even more crowded, which could make the unisex trains less safe for women.

Having separate trains for both women and men would make the public transportation system kind of like public restrooms, how there’s women’s restrooms, men’s restrooms, and unisex restrooms.

I still think this proposal would still be questionable even with that, though. It is segregation on the basis of sex (in public accommodations, no less).

If these women reported that they felt unsafe at being restricted from carrying even pocket knives to protect themselves, would THAT be changed?

How about if they felt unsafe from having a major media outlet that can't even spell "traveled" correctly?

To be fair, i myself feel unsafe around anyone. But this unfair, hurtful generaliztion reminds me of a graph that feminists used to use (among other things) to make men look as as possible. It had to do with them making up evidence of false rape accusations. As if the truth about this for men is hard to bring to light already.

I think i have some saved and screenshot evidenece of women just making up false accusations for any reason. Hell it essentially happend to me and im already a quiet little guy.

I remember that both left and right make men still serve and protect women.

It should be front carriage women only, back carriage men only and middle all mixed. That way it's obvious and easy on the platform for everyone to know where they want to stand AND both genders have access to the same amount of space.

So far I see no issue with it. If this stupidity begins causing harm where no harm should occur, I can see problems arising.
