This comes up virtually every time a new story breaks out of a man doing something bad or whenever they jump to insane conclusions based on viral misreadings and fabrications, like "70,000 men in a rape group chat" or "62 million men joined a rape academy!"

For us, the typical response is to explain why they're dead ass wrong and not even remotely in the same galactic quadrant of truth but THEY always come out to say "not all men... but always a man" or even "not all men, but enough", They mock this phrase so often, but the people they hate so much barely use it as much as they do. I find that really funny. We hardly even need to say "not all men" because you Misandrists are just dead wrong, but you guys will use it against us because you wanna condemn us all. That reveals their intent quite vividly.

Also, it's incredibly dehumanizing. They want people to think that whenever something bad happens, it's a man doing it. The assumption is that men must be rendered as bad until proven good, and that women = just good with a teeny tiny few bad apples.

And why can't we just cherry pick things women have done to then flip it back on them? That would be equally unfair, but it's only okay to do that to men apparently.

A profound example of this was a video by Jerry Z, where he addresses the fact that the 62 million number is wildly off (while conveniently ignoring just how wrong it is) and instead of calling out all the Misandrists who used it as an excuse to call for violent subjegation of all men, he just shifts the goalpost to "You should have empathy for the victims. Why are you making this about defending yourselves?" B*TCH you made it about me! You don't get to attack me then tell me to not defend myself!

They justify this by saying "We know it's not all men but we don't know which one of you is safe" which is just as bigoted if used against women. It assumes all women are good and all men are suspicious. I don't know if a woman is good before I get to know her either. We're all people. No group is pure, and there are plenty of bad men AND women aout there.

This is what happens when you lump men in as a group. Millions of men were blamed for something they had nothing to do with all because it was believed to be 62 million of us, and the moment that was debunked, we were still blamed for not "fighting the patriarchy and allowing this to happen."

What... absolute... garbage.
