I (28m) obviously wasn't around 30 years ago, but my dad and his friends have lived in the same area much longer than I have.

Throughout the years, both himself and his friends often moans that less young people are socializing. According to them, a random ass Tuesday night was just as (if not, more) busy than a Saturday. Honestly, based on what I've seen, I do believe him.

The biggest difference between then and now is the internet, social media and dating apps. In theory, it's a lot easier to swipe on the toilet, than get dressed, go out, risk getting too drunk and deal with a hangover.

That's great for the super handsome men, but what about us avarage/slightly above average guys?

I've used Tinder, Hinge and bumble on and off for around 5 years and haven't had much luck. To this day, I've never once met up with any woman from the apps, clearly, they aren't working for me, nor do they work well for other avarage guys. The reason is because we're just another person on a women's phone.

I workout, eat right (80% of the time), get a haircut and shave regularly, take decent pictures etc. I'm not handsome, but after years of back and forth, I'd give myself an honest rating of 6/10, which unfortunaly isnt good enough these days.

I have a question for the men who match often and go on dates/hookup, what does your profile look like and are you a really handsome guy? The type of guy who jumps off the screen while a woman is swiping?

Thanks.
