25 single [F] here realizing I took my life in the wrong direction.

I worked as a computer hardware engineer and am now in the middle of a PhD engineering program. I am realizing that guys don't put much stock in a woman's career and only care if she is nice, beautiful, sweet etc. Everyday I age and grow more worthless and I am about as far away from a relationship, marriage and family as possible.

I rather not die alone than have a decent career. I am starting to seriously consider shifting gears to find a spouse and not focus on my career and education before it is too late. From what I understand age 30 is too late.

Also, my face is weird looking, but my body is fit. I figure I can at least be a butter face. I am wondering though if my ugly face still precludes me from finding someone.

I was doing homework with my classmates, a bunch of cool guys, and I realized why I am single. I am not girlfriend material. Guys don't want a female with guy stats (good career/high income). They want a sweet, pretty one. All of the guys I was studying with have girlfriends/wives that do not have degrees and stay at home.

Realizing as a single female that with everyday I grow more worthless is sobering.
