So I started my RP journey about a month ago after realizing I'd been in a BP rut. Things started off well enough, but I felt like i had been slipping into "pussy mode" where I could see my wife was just gaining more and more control over me.

I've started lifting, and read the first 3 course prerequisites. So things have been changing slightly. Sex is not dead (married for only a year, but together 6), but only once a week which is better than the 1-2 times a month.

She is a homebody, and I have always liked to go out from time to time with the boys. Now although she was never happy about me going out, she never stopped me and understood I needed my time out. This would only happen about 3-4 times a year with my close guys for birthdays and whatnot. We would stay out all night and just drink and shoot the shit talking about everything.

So recently, I guess I just had a huge test, and probably failed. Next weekend is one of my close friend's surprise birthday. I'm helping plan it, and she is not going because again, homebody, and being Korean, she generally can't understand my friends and I when we talk fast and start speaking in slang. She was cool and we left it at that. The other day, another friend whom I haven't hung out with in awhile messaged me and wanted to hang out this weekend all Saturday night. I said cool and told the wife.

She got really upset and going out all night two nights in a row and started saying "what sounded like bullshit) that she is scared to be alone at night and that 2 weekends in a row all night isn't cool. I stood my ground at first, but then thought that maybe all night for two Saturdays in a row (coming home at 6/7 am) was too much and conceded.

She also started supposing that what if we had a baby, what if I wanted to go out all night 2 Saturdays in a row. I said probably not. Then she said, "Well what if you want to go out once a month like that?!" I said well that shouldn't be a problem as since going out all night sometimes is my way of recharging and enjoying myself. We are both introverts, but I would say I'm more 60/40 and she is just a straight up homebody that likes watching TV and sewing.

She naturally got upset and said that "Well if you can go out, then so can I." It was basically a threat, and I laughed at it and told her it's not a threat to me. She started going on about how she can't wait to travel alone and go out from time to time. I just kept laughing and egging her on and said yeah "You can travel alone all you want. And if you do something on those trips, I have no problem writing up the divorce papers."

She knew what "something" was and got all defensive. After that, we just left it alone and here I am. I have a feeling I handled this incorrectly, and maybe went too fast too soon.
