If the app is one where you have to mutually match before they message you go on and swipe every guy that doesn’t have their job title in the bio immediately. Men see their jobs as extensions of themselves and it is a part of their identity. If they are proud of their job they will publicize what it is. They may not tell you the company or their exact job title but the job will always be mentioned. Only men with shitty jobs will skip putting their job or will put some stupid shit like assistant manager at Dunder Mifflin. Don’t waste your time. If a guy is hiding what he does for a living it’s a red flag. Men will claim they don’t say what they do because of “golddiggers” but it’s always the men that don’t have shit that claim that. The men with successful careers want you to know.

On the off chance you run into a man with a high paying career that hides it that should still be a dealbreaker. He’s hiding it because he has no intention of spending his money on you. Do you want a man like that as a partner? No.

If the app you are using let’s men contact you first state your career in your bio. Successful men will appreciate your success and broke men will mostly be intimidated. Some may try to use you as a sugar mama but just block those.

If a prospect is put off by you stating your clear and reasonable standards in your bio, he's probably LV. (Note that men never worry about making their bios subtle or palatable for us - they put their audacity right out there and still feel entitled to more attention than most of them ever get on OLD.) For what it's worth, I like your wording a lot and I think you should keep using it.

I have my preferences listed in my bio because they'll come up anyway once we start talking, so may as well weed them out at the gate.

What's been the worst for me is men showing they're insecure about my secure livelihood. I own a house and have a job that secures me financial independence. Guys I've dated will go out of their way to put me down over these things. Either that, or they're bums looking for a mom. I've literally encountered homeless men on dating apps living out their sedans. I would rather be alone than deal with either of those types.
