And he had a lot of friends. I met them all. They were all cheaters. Most men are cheaters—you know that, don’t you? I could meet a cheater tomorrow if I wanted to.

Only the men she recognized. You should aspire to be identified with this group, even if you've never cheated and never will, because otherwise, you'll never be recognized at all.

[–]Endorsed Contributorgekkozorz 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. She's talking specifically about the 20%ers.

Any 80%ers who were incapable of finding any new pussy beyond their wives were completely invisible to her.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

If you don't cheat, she will still assume you would for her, because she is a special snowflake. Lots of loyal married men get hit on or propositioned even though the woman knows he is married.

[–]Ah_ok 46 points47 points48 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Because the woman knows he is married.

[–]Cyhawk 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Most ass I ever got was in college wearing a wedding band.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think I'm gonna have to do that now.

[–]Cyhawk 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't forget to play 'hard to get' and touch your ring occasionally. Its basically using their game against them.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

my conclusion is different, the confidence some women shown when hitting on married man is because they assume anyone married for a long period of time understands that love is a concept, and at least for women it does not exist.

Reminds me of the scene in "Scent of a Women" where Pacino yells:"Conscience is dead....Its fuck your buddy, cheat on your wife, call your mother on Mother's Day.....Charlie, its all shit"

[–]Jaereth 33 points33 points33 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It's amazing how the old timers just dgaf anymore and could care less if they keep the narrative going. They just tell it like it is. I like it.

I honestly can't tell if you're a troll or just obnoxious and immature. Either way, I'm not feeling it.

I'm going to ban you because I have pages of this stuff to get through and it's late and your posting history doesn't really make me feel like anything of value would be lost. Appeal it if you really care that much either way.

She talks about how her lover slept around, and that was the guy she was most attracted to. Women would rather share an alpha than have a beta all to themselves.

She also says women these days "run around" more than they used to. They realized they can have their beta bux and alpha fux all at once.

I am sure coming from a woman other women will consider this "empowering", but when we say it, the feminists call us hate mongers.

[–]tallwheel 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

I am sure coming from a woman other women will consider this "empowering",

Judging from the comments, the women seem to be slut shaming her even more than the men, and saying we shouldn't listen to this lady with the multiple marriages and affair.

[–]ImnotTHATdrunk17 points 12 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

That is because she is telling it like it is and sharing all their dark secrets. "There is a turd in the punch bowl."

[–]tallwheel 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Saying anything that might lower the market value of pussy is an affront to the pussy cartel, and makes you a labia traitor if you happen to have one.

[–]2johnnight 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"You guys shouldn't know this."

[–]bossbang 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This. There is a facade to keep up, they can't agree publicly about this because it would "look bad".

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I believe that women slut shame more so than men due to the idea of using sex as a bargaining chip. If someone gives it away for free then they lose value instantly.

Guys might do this too but I think when most men slut shame its because they are parroting the women who brainwashed them.

[–]tallwheel 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Guys might do this too but I think when most men slut shame its because they are parroting the women who brainwashed them.

Not only that, but I think bluepill men also want to believe in the value of pussy. Especially married men - they want to believe that they are paying a fair price for their wife's overpriced pussy.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I can see that.

To add to this there is also a naturally higher value attached to things that fewer people can have. However the act of slut shaming is a tactic used against people to control a situation so its hard for me to see the rarity argument being really used to any effect. Mostly because who gives a shit. shrugs

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

A woman will slut shame any woman that she is less slutty than by comparison. So even a slut whose had 50 one night stands won't hesitate to slut shame a woman who is known to have fucked 100 men. Basically women will slut shame just to make themselves look/feel more chaste by comparison even if they are only just a little less slutty.

[–]bossbang 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Hit the nail on the head. Slut shaming has nothing to do with influencing someone else. Slut shaming of women by women is a self validation tool.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If that's the case then its likely the same kind of self validation a in the closet gay man will enact to prove how he isn't gay. You know damn well any man who's claiming how much he hates gay people and will freak out and the mere sight of someones limp wrist is probably the gayest man in the room.

In other words, slut shamers are likely spinning a few plates of their own. XD

[–]bossbang 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's self validation and a convenient public cover up for their own actions. That girl is the definition of a slut, she's slept with 10 guys. I'm not a slut, I've only been with 6.

It's externalizing the behavior and quantifying it, putting arbitrary thresholds to reinforce their choices.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a really interesting point i had not thought about at all.

However, I suspect there is evidence to say its more complex than that based actual number of one night stands is a secret variable thus slut shaming may even happen in spite of having had more partners than the target female. Actually I am willing to bet that this act can happen even if the person being shamed has very few partners. Its the perceived number of partners that is the important factor for this equation. So with that said slut shaming happens in a guilty until proven innocent environment as nothing more than an act to control pussy availability and/or for self validation. The number of past partners is a hidden variable thus its irrelevant who the actual slut really is.

Its highly likely that it is merely used as a tool with absolutely no evidence at all. It might just be that the victim girl is is perceived as a threat. Pre-wall, too young, too attractive, too many friends, not currently under control ect...

edit: Side note, if girls were to practice owning up to their choices and keeping frame while being straight forward slut shaming would be impossible.

[–]bam2_89 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Those are female readers of Esquire.

[–]veggie_girl 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You severely underestimate how much women slut shame other women. And it's usually the hypocrites who do it the most.

[–]bam2_89 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know, but it's unusual for them to do it to someone not in their peer group or to do so in principle.

[+][deleted] -6 points-5 points-4 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

She talks about how her lover slept around, and that was the guy she was most attracted to. Women would rather share an alpha than have a beta all to themselves.

Why is this some kind of revelation for RTP men?

If I was an attractive girl I am 100% sure I wouldn't give any man a second thought who didn't look me in the eyes when I first met him. I would have my tubes tied at 18 and set up a career then pump and dump any alpha worth a shit until the day I died while holding up both middle fingers the entire time. Man that would be some fun shit.

So anyway, rant aside, I cant even begin to see myself doing much else other than sharing alpha. Beta's get all clingy and expect shit, they try to "game" you, are insecure... Its a giant drag when you list out the stuff that makes a Beta. I cant imagine ever wasting myself on that kind of a person!

Seriously! Ask yourself, as a guy, WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you woke up one day as an attractive female.

[–][deleted] 52 points53 points54 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Do you think it’s okay to run around? :

Well, I wouldn’t want my daughter to do it. If she was unhappy, I would want her to get a divorce and meet a nice guy. And she did! Her second husband is a wonderful guy. He’s just mad about her. And she likes him, too. I don’t know how much she loves him, but I know he’s very good to her.

AF/BB proven.

[–]RojoEscarlata 46 points47 points48 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't know how much she loves him

I cringed hard for that guy.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It wasn't necessarily a cringe for me, my heart sank for him a bit actually.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 66 points67 points68 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This has been posted numerous times, but nevertheless...

An affair is very different than a marriage because you can break it off at anytime.

Reading between the lines, dread game addiction. All tingles, no mundane shit.

[–]RojoEscarlata 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There was some good gems in the subtext of this article.

The "I knew he had other women" was shockingly amazing.

[–]gohammer3 87 points88 points89 points 12 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

I don't think I like woman anymore, not entirely MTGOW cause I love sex but god damn the dream I had of starting a stable nuclear family and being a great father is ruined.

[–]WazzuMadBro 47 points48 points49 points 12 years ago* (19 children) | Copy Link

I think it is completely possible to have a stable nuclear family and a wife that doesnt wander and you can be content with, but theres a catch. You absolutely must be and stay higher value than her during the relationship. She MUST fear losing you. You cannot be "equals" so to speak which is the lie which is always propagated by most women and even men nowadays.

The catch 22 here though is if you are higher value than her and she knows it then will you actually be happy with her? I suppose it depends on what you really want more. The stable family unit and a wife you can control or a wife you cannot control but truly desire (trophy wife type).

On a side note. Im watching Hannibal right now and this show rules. Watch it people!

[–]tallwheel 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You absolutely must be and stay higher value than her during the relationship.

This is a fuckuva lot easier said than done. And if you marry, you have to keep it up for the entirety of the marriage.

[–]1neveragoodtime 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Which is to say until you die.

[–]tallwheel 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Good luck staying higher value should you become disabled and unable to work or something... or horribly disfigured in an accident. Boom. You are then lower value by no fault of your own.

[–]Vladimir_Jr 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One couple lives in our apt. complex. She is quite pretty, young and fit. He is young, muscular and in a wheelchair. Most likely he got into some accident. I don't know much about them, but I saw them together for four years and they've recently had a baby. Don't know the real reasons, but I like to think, that she loves him. It restores my faith in humanity.

[–]thecajunone 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

True...but even men with their loyalty would consider leaving a disfigured woman. I mean...if I were disabled I wouldn't want anyone carrying my burden.

[–]tallwheel 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd say a husband is much more likely to stay than a wife should a partner suddenly have a drop in value. Men are, like you say, more loyal. Even this woman's husband stayed with her.

That's why I wish I was born gay.

[–]highstats 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I don't measure a womens value the same way she measures mine. Which means she might view my value as being higher then hers, but I might view her value as equal to mine. So it's not a catch 22.

A good job, confidence, social connections, leadership might display high value to her. But to you, her attitude, her motherly instincts, her dedication to her health and yours, might make her high value for you.

Which means you can still be 'higher value' to her (because you make more money, have more friends) but that doesn't mean you look down upon her and feel that you 'settled' for her because she makes less money then you.

[–]moltar 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Value isn't measured objectively. It's your feeling. You must know you are higher value.

Eg my buddie's parents are good example. Mom is a self made millionaire. Dad is an ex car mechanic. Ex, because he quit as he doesn't need to work.

I can still see tingles and that thing in mom's eyes. Dad is a bad boy type. Used to row in university. Always busting jokes and being funny and confident. Works out at his home gym and looks amazing for 50 yo. Almost had six pack. You can just feel his masculine energy when being around him.

It's all about your own attitude and internal feeling. Dad knows he's the shit, and that's how mom sees him.

Edit: and by the way, mom also trying to stay hot. Looks pretty good for her age.

[–]thecajunone 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dad knows he is the shit...

Awww yeeaah, that's awesome

Mom staying hot, she knows he can find pussy anywhere and she gets those tingles so tries and competes

Dad probably satisfied

Very heart warming. Anti-marriage RP'ers take note.

[–]dreckmal -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How do you see the values being equivalent?

[–]thecajunone 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

All about the frame buddy.

[–]dreckmal 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That actually doesn't answer the question, which I ask in all seriousness. Holding or maintaining frame has nothing to do with value equivalence.

If the value of either sex is not measured the same, how can value be equivalent?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you're defining a man's value as his capacity to attract/keep a woman, and a woman's value as her capacity to attract/keep a man (which is essentially what you're talking about in an LTR scenario), then the actual qualities which comprise "high value" are going to be different in a man than in a woman. Think of it less as identical in practice but more as equivalent in outcome.

The result's that (hopefully), both partners are equally happy with the relationship, but play different roles in the relationship's upkeep.

This is the trap feminism fell into, imo. Women recognized qualities that made men "high value", and started to pursue these qualities, and are now disappointed to find out that the high value men they want aren't popping boners over their graduate degrees or six figure salaries. They now have identical qualities to high value men, but do not have equal value in the dating market.

This just fuels my MGTOW even more. One must have standards and never lower them for women. Also, what kind of advice can a divorced woman give me? 3 times divorced for that matter! No good advice can come of that women mouth, besides justifying her hamsterism.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]1independentmale 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's because they want to.

[–]bam2_89 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Most likely when you "find someone" you'll get oneitis, convince yourself that she can do no wrong, jump into marriage without a prenup, and then get divorced in about seven years.

[–]frazzleddd1 points 12 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

so trp means nothing in this scenario? even if i've read and cultured myself it wont prevent this scenario?

[–]bam2_89 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I meant "you" as in "one" but even with TRP, I wouldn't take the risk without an airtight prenup.

[–]gg_s 26 points27 points28 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At 93 there is little benefit in perpetuating untruths.

[–]lepies_pegao 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

older people tend to have less shame

totally agree!

[–]1neveragoodtime 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

but if they become more successful than their husbands, it can be bad because then the man loses respect for himself.

This I she line I hear from feminists all the time that drives me nuts. It doesn't make sense unless you listen to TRP and realize it's the wife that loses respect for the man, and projects that onto him as losing self respect so it can be his fault and not her shallow ass. What guy would have a problem with his woman bringing home more money, assuming she remains attracted to him. The problem is she won't, no matter how empowering feminists think it is. It will ruin her marriage because she will resent taking care of a "child" and will blame him, it's not in their nature to take care of a (beta) man that way. He the one that's supposed to be providing! If he can't do that he's out, for more bux or better fux.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Actually I think its both. Typically men seek their identity externally which would include being an attractive husband and able to provide for their family. If a man loses success relative to his wife then he will lose some self-respect since he loses his provider status. However at the same time in his wife's eyes he's lost status so she will lose respect for him.

Because he seeks his identity in his relationship with her, when her opinion of him goes down so does his. On the other side of the coin when his opinion of himself is lowered she can sense his drop in swagger and will respect him less.

This of course leads to a continuous cycle where the man's status within the arraignment slowly deteriorates. I think it is unfair to suggest that it is entirely the women's biology at fault or as the feminists pose the man's "insecurity".

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

^ This. When I went through a lay off in my last LTR I lost a lot of self confidence, and that made me require more external validation from my ex, which exhausted her to the point I could no longer get her wet.

Vicious cycle.

[–]elevul -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just be aware that that kind of depression can be limited a lot with exogenous testosterone, because the main cause of that vicious cycle is lower production of testosterone by the body.

If you're above 30 years old TRT would help you A LOT, and it's fairly cheap.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So you’ve had three husbands and one lover. Which one were you the most mad about?

My lover.

Why?

An affair is very different than a marriage because you can break it off at anytime. And this man made life very exciting. It was never dull around him. I like when a man has money and he can take me places and buy me things. All women do. Don’t let anybody tell you differently, okay? If he would buy his wife a present, he would buy me a better one. He once bought her a diamond heart, and the next day he brought me a gorgeous diamond bracelet, very expensive. You see what I’m telling you? Tit for tat. Nothing was too good for me.

If only TRP existed in the 1930's. Damn it's sad times we live in.

[–]robesta 59 points60 points61 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

It absolutely existed. It was the norm.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Wish I lived in the roaring 20's with all this TRP knowledge...

[–]frazzleddd11 points 12 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Bro everyone was aware of TRP then. You'd be battling a herd of alphas but without all the massive sluts we have today

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Sounds way better than today, anyways.

[–]arbyq5000-1 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

phooey

we're here, and not there. what the fuck did you do today?

[–]thecajunone 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True, nothing you can do about it, might as well hit the gym and think not of what could be.

[–]the99percent1 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wish I lived in the roaring 20's with all this TRP knowledge...

Why? Sleeping only with the top 20% men . The rest will be living in poverty stricken great depression...

At least you have porn and computer games to keep you going.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the bad thing. I don't want porn and video games anymore, they are a waste of time and they serve only to take away my masculine drive to actually be productive and inventive with my time.

Unless I reach some buddha level discipline, they just weigh me down. I'd rather be sex starved and bored out of my mind so I'd be forced to redefine myself instead of just sitting comfortably in front of my PC jerking off and playing Battlefield because my life sucks but it "doesn't matter".

[–]incraved 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Couldn't agree more

[–]veyron1001 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Trp has been around for nearly half a billion years. Animals practice it although in much simpler terms. Only the biggest, strongest, and the most aggressive got to reproduce. The softer ones never got to pass their genes and often had a shorter lifespan.

[–]bossbang 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am laughing so hard my sides hurt. "Do you think it's okay to run around?" "Well I wouldn't want my daughter to do it. I would want her to go meet a nice guy. Which she did! Her second husband is a wondeful guy! And she she likes him too. I don't know how much she loves him. But I know he is very good to her."

I wouldn't want my daughter to do it. But I did! And eventually my daughter found herself a nice beta provider to buy her all the things she wants.

"Why does love fade?" "One of you drifts away.... (you) meet people and before you know it they're involved a little bit. You need to do things together."

Can confirm, the "girls night out" and "girl only vacation to vegas" are definitely healthy things guys. Keep an open mind. chuckles

I can't believe it, a few months ago this would have me pissed off. Knowing what I now now, I seriously cannot help but laugh. Really, really hard.

I just finished reading "The Book of Pook" yesterday, and damn if this women didn't lay out exactly how men should act just like Pook did.

[–]moremane 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Is all of this shit actually true? If so, it makes me very angry and cynical.

[–]gimmieareason 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Its like I'm just better off fucking some girl and never getting attached at all. What's the point? Trying to be someone who she wants all the time, rather then who you are... It just seems like a waste of time to me. They aren't wrong, I mean, you want what you want, but it doesn't make me feel good at all. Not a damn bit.

[–]moremane 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Exactly how I feel. I've been trying to be the most honorable, stand-up guy I could be for the past eight years, and people have shown some recognition for that, yet I'm starting to realize that there's some truth to this red pill stuff - and it's making me sick to my stomach.

[–]gimmieareason 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I totally get you. I absolutely believe TRP is real and true, its just crazy because its pretty much the opposite of what everyone tells you, and what society tells you. I forget where I read it, but someone said:

Women don't want to be taken care of, and they don't want to be looked after, what they really want is to be bent over and fucked by some confident asshole who turns them on.

This kills me. And its because its so true. How the fuck can I be good to a girl and trust her after reading that? I really don't have any answers to you dude, but know I am in the same situation as you. Women are not what I thought, and its my fault.

[–]StarkAtheist 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you guys.

I used to be an idealist until I read TRP.

Now that guy is dead.

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad he's dead..... but I wept at his funeral.

[–]bossbang 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is exactly how I felt when I first went through it. For those struggling with post pill reconstruction:

I used to be very idealistic, I was very successful and always had the moral high ground. This gave me confidence and perceived strength.

Then you realize some harsh truths.

It's true, part of you dies. Truly dead, gone.

I get flashbacks, little wisps of the guy I used to be. But it's like memories of the life of someone else.

When you swallow redpill, your core beliefs get shattered. You can't go back, you don't know what to replace it with yet, and end up sitting there, reliving moments in your life where things could have been different.

My swallow took about 6 months. My biggest regret? All that wasted time. The 6 months spent in perpetual internal vaccum and the 6 months that led up to the cataclysm that made me swallow in the first place.

To truly be at peace post red pill, you have actively reconstruct your identity. Soul, mind, and body. You've just went through a death of the soul, and you need to rebuild it.

Who are you? What do you want? How will you get it? What are your new morals/core values?

You can subscribe to some redpill philosophy that generally encompass a lot of those questions but it's not enough. You need to actively make yes/no/this decisions on some deep beliefs. The community is generally a good guide, but ultimately you decide what things to learn and incorporate into who you are.

[–]sweetleef 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck can I be good to a girl

Depends on how you define "good" - if it's the sitcom version, pedestalizing her as a special snowflake, giving her money and gifts and confiding your insecurities to her in and tolerating her BPD manias and hamstering nonsense, you can't be surprised when you get rooked and cheated on.

And you can trust her, as long as you trust her as a woman - she doesn't value the things you value, her perspective and instinctual drives are different than yours. Don't expect her to be a man.

Please speak more on this in other threads where it's applicable. Because of the nature of alpha behavior, we place priority/value on ourselves more than others. Which is a valid and effective way of thinking.

However a common unintended side effect is dehumanization of females. Yes there are behavioral patterns in women that ideally should be changed. But undesirable behavior patterns exist in men also.

Men and women are human. What immediately comes to my mind when I say the word human?

Flawed.

Would you like to be a young woman in today’s world?

Oh yeah. Because I feel like I could keep up with any man. I’m not being conceited—don’t misunderstand me. But I understand men. I do. My father, he always said to me, “If I was married to a woman like you, I’d own the world.” He used to tell me that. I was the favorite, and I knew it. I could have had anything I wanted. I don’t tell that to my brothers and sisters because I don’t want to hurt their feelings.

Her opinion isn't invalid, but one must understand that it is an opinion of a spoiled brat who got too much attention from daddy. One cannot make judgements of women as a whole from this one psychologically ill woman. What it does prove is that the women don't understand the finer details of life, since she seemingly doesn't understand that women are NOT happier (probably her own rationalisation and projection) nor what underlines society as a whole.

How can so many men ASSUME that X thread is rationalisation hamster... yet magically what this woman says is TRP truth? Isn't the whole point of TRP that women will always rationalise? To me this is just one big massive hamster, and I thought one of the main mantras of TRP is that the older a woman gets the MOOOOREEEE she rationalises. Many of what she states are assumptions, even though I am sure many of the actual events happened.

These words made me cringe. Am I the only one thinking that there's something wrong here?

[–]Anderfail 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope, that is probably the exact reason for her behavior. Bad parents make for bad kids.

Isn't this anti-RP? Buying gifts for her?

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn't this anti-RP? Buying gifts for her?

You completed missed the point on that. You absolutely should buy gifts for your girl. The key is that they are gifts, not obligations.

For example, if you pay for every meal with her, she starts to expect that. It stops being a gift. However, if you have money then you really should buy her fancy gifts every now and then.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

On the one hand, it probably wasn't a big deal to the guy. On the other, I'm sure the lady is somewhat embellishing her story to make herself look better.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It was also 70 years ago where cultural norms were very different. If he was getting sex, he was expected to pay for it because she is taking a huge reputation risk. Today, many women brag about their partner count to each other, don't give a fuck documenting all her previous boyfriends in public social media, and engage in "prude" shaming.

[–]sweetleef 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Today, many women brag about their partner count to each other, don't give a fuck documenting all her previous boyfriends in public social media, and engage in "prude" shaming.

Many women also deface themselves with tattoos - and like being a whore, just because it's a media-driven fad doesn't mean it won't have dire consequences in the future.

Human nature is human nature, and there are deep reasons for universal cultural norms. Those don't change just because some morons in hollywood think it would make a good reality tv show.

[–]tallwheel 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It sounds like this guy was alpha and could afford to buy her tons of shit with little thought. This is pretty much every woman's ideal. Why choose between alpha fux and beta bux when you can have both in one man?

[–]New_Horiz0ns -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

According to statistics, more and more women are the ones asking for the divorces these days. Very different from your generation.

Right, the world today is completely different because the women are successful. A lot of women are more successful than their husbands. And that’s not necessarily good for marriage. It’s wonderful for women, of course, but if they become more successful than their husbands, it can be bad because then the man loses respect for himself. And then the husband becomes the pussycat—and that’s no good. That’s just my opinion. I could be wrong. I’ve been wrong plenty of times in my life.

I like how she ends her statement. Very Dale Carnegie like.
