Some things out of the abstracts are funny:

Okay, but fun parts aside, the sample size is very small (92 couples) AND only includes young people (19-30). So all women who have hit the wall are excluded for example.

Additionally they talk about long-term relationships, but then did not exclude 1-months-relationships (because that would have decreased the sample size even more) and the average was only 21 months! So imho half of those do not even qualify as long-term relationships.

Speculating here, but it seems what they have actually done is to put a paper on the bulletin board of the university asking for volunteers from the student body for this and then included everything out of that no matter if it made sense or not. The findings are 100% uninteresting because 100% obvious.
