Grace and Frankie!!!

It’s two hysterical older women who deal with the shit that life throws at them while taking no shit from the people in their life. They choose to live their own life in a way that makes them most happy. I highly recommend!

Anne with An E!!!! It’s on netflix and probably the best thing I’ve ever seen. Anne is an incredibly vibrant protagonist, there are multiple women on the show who are very successful in life without men and the men who are on the show are so wonderfully written that I coined the term “Gilbert Blythe Syndrome” for when I encounter a fictional man who is such a perfect partner it makes me want to date men again. Then I remind myself that the only reason Gilbert is so wonderful is he is written to be the perfect partner to Anne. And no man is going to be as good a beau as one whos characters sole purpose is to be a good partner.

Just finished watching The Fall on Netflix and Gillian Anderson plays a childfree detective inspector, very dark/moody. She tracks a serial killer. Her character was extremely intriguing, and well acted. Good to see a powerful, single, childfree woman with a singular focus on her cery important career, catching a man before he kills again. The script also touches on many philosophical issues like the nature of men versus women and male violence and narcissism, daddy issues, and so on.

Unorthodox. It's about an Orthodox Jewish woman who leaves her LVM husband to start a new life for herself and pursue her passion, which is music. It includes a romantic storyline with a guy who seems HV and is extremely enjoyable to look at haha

I wanna reccomend Jessica Jones for two strong female characters, but it doesn't fit what you asked for.

Insatiable is another example of determined young woman with literal leveling up, but it's one of these shows, you either love it or hate it.

This is Us.

Story follows Jack, a family man who sets the standard for his family. He's a pretty average guy with an average job, and he prioritizes his wife and family above all else. Taking place equally in the past and present, it explores how this man influenced his family, both in his life and death. He sets a standard for his sons to measure up to. In the present day, we mostly follow his now 40 year old children and the broader family.

There are lots of examples of big romantic gestures in the show, but it's also about how love is expressed by consistently supporting the people who you love.

One of Jack's children is named Kate. She struggles with morbid obesity and career changes throughout the show. I love her relationship with Toby.

Agent Carter. Set right after the end of WWII, it's the adventures of Peggy Carter as a super spy after Capt. America dies. Only two seasons, but very fun with a great cast. I'm not sure she's leveling up, because she was already pretty fantastic in the first Capt. America movie.
