They accuse women of being children that can't even fight back if they get raped, but what about the men?

Strawman. That's not the argument and you know it.

The argument is that women are being stupid for telling a guy "no" and then staying there and not leaving. For telling a guy "not interested, don't want to" and then not backing that up with action. Like "Grace" with Aziz Ansari, just by way of example (and she wasn't raped, not anywhere close to it). Grace didn't want to, kept putting the brakes on, and then just stayed there. Just said "hey let's watch some TV" or "do something else".

NO.

When a woman says "no" and then doesn't back that up by leaving, a man reads that as

--"not yet"

--"try something else"

--"try harder"

--"try again later"

--"I don't want to now, but I might want to later"

And you know, maybe men shouldn't read it that way. And maybe that's not the message women intend to send. But the fact remains that that is how men DO read it, and they need to deal with reality and not what they want it to be or what they think it should be. Women need to deal with men as they are, not men as they think they should be.

If a woman doesn't want to have sex, she needs to say NO, firmly and finally, and then LEAVE.

If you're going to ask us questions like this, at least have the courtesy to characterize the arguments we make correctly and in good faith and not strawman the ever loving shit out of them.

When you post shit like this, it makes discussions with you impossible because it's crystal clear you're not really interested in a discussion, but instead on casting aspersions, pointing and laughing, and bad faith accusation. It's bullshit.

Considering your extreme case, both are just dumb. One crosses boundaries and don't care, the other merely fight back and then gets "scared" and "stops moving" and "starts crying". Come on. It takes two idiots to get into this situation.

For less extreme cases, men have the role to initiate, women have to role to accept or reject, it's as simple as that. And as to why men don't ask consent directly, it's simply women's fault, they're the one who endorsed indirect communication...

When you register for a job interview, the society didn't search you, you searched for the society, you took the initiative to register, but in the end it's not you to say that you're rejected or not, it's the society....

A gross mischaracterization of a much more common scenario. That a girl is having sex, the guy does something she maybe isn't into all that much lets say spanking, and continues to do it throughout. She changes her body language, but in the moment the guy has other concerns.

Not saying your scenario never happens,but just come the fuck on.

According to TRP it's all her own fault and nothing he did was wrong because he couldn't have known that she doesn't want it that way and she should have told him to stop if she wanted it to stop.

No one believes this.

All in all I rate this 4/10 on the troll-post-o-meter. Lacks creativity and is reaching hard.

Why don't you take a moment to think about the fact that you need to come up with some outlandish scenario that has no relation to the real world un order to twist the woman into being somehow the victim and not responsible for her own life?

What typically happens is that women are too agreeable to ever draw boundaries. Add this to the fact that a good portion of women believe sex (especially rough sex) devalues them and makes them feel bad when getting pumped and dumped. Most women can't get over the fact that sex is framed as women giving something up and men taking.

It's not about resisting "harder" physically, but conveying the true, genuine desire for whatever is going on to stop. First say "Stop." Get his attention and tell him to stop. If he still doesn't stop this is rape and he is responsible for it, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

I'm confused, people consistently want men to be mind readers. When we do something we like, we get into it, that's human nature. I'll close my eyes, play moonlight sonata on guitar, and drift off. When I open my eyes again, I'd find that it would take me a few seconds to remember exactly where I am and what time it is. That's being into it.

Some men get into the "moment". Rough sex, for the most part, is role play. I've had rough sex with women who looked like they wanted it to stop, then when I stopped, they said "what the fuck? why'd you stop?", then they would get upset because I broke immersion.

Men can control themselves fine, but men can't read minds. Let me put it this way, if I drink, then I get behind the wheel, I'm the one that's held responsible for my actions. Why? Because I was supposed to not drive. It wasn't my sober friend's fault for not stopping me, it was my fault. If a man puts a gun in my hand and tells me to kill someone, it isn't any less my fault when I pull the trigger. It our jobs, as adults, to the situations that we get ourselves into. If a woman wants the rough sex to stop after she consented because she thought she would enjoy it, it's her job to stop the sex, not his job to read her mind.

Adults are also expected to make decisions carefully and to accept the consequences if the decisions they make don't end up the way they expected. If I decide to sign for a mortgage, it isn't the bank's responsibility to tell me whether or not I can afford the mortgage, it's my job to determine that. The bank just needs to determine if they are willing to give me the mortgage.

Similarily, a man's responsibility is to decide if he wants to have sex, and the woman's responsibility is to decide if she wants to have sex. IF they both agree, then they have sex. If, at any point, she changes her mind, it's her job to resists, it's her job to take reasonable actions to stop it.
