A lot of them because that's the point of fiction.

More specifically, anything where an attractive woman starts out hating some dorky guy and then later on suddenly changes her mind because of his treatment of her (or because "he stays true to himself" etc.). It's unrealistic because (1) it's as though the first impression actually means nothing, and (2) it reinforces the bullshit "nice guy" idea that just being yourself will convince the girl of your dreams to ditch her handsome douche boyfriend for you.

I'm thinking of concrete examples that are mostly comedies or dramedies like Hot Rod or Stranger than Fiction.

Hot Rod makes the list because of its nice guy vibes. Isla Fisher leaves her tall and handsome (admittedly douchey) long-term boyfriend for Andy Samberg, seemingly because he stays true to himself by acting like a 12-year-old with complete immunity to embarrassment. Every girl's dream, right?

Stranger than Fiction makes the cut because of the absurd 180 that Maggie Gyllenhaal does for Will Ferrell. She starts out thinking he's Satan and then suddenly... ooh, you stammered during one apology and learned a few guitar chords? I love you!!

That shit never happens for real life Leonard, not ever.

No way does Sheldon EVER get laid, or even have any friends. In real life, Sheldon ends up dead in a janitor's closet at the University after pissing off the wrong guy. In real life, Raj doesn't have multiple GFs and Howard doesn't marry big titted Bernadette. In real life, Raj and Howard jerk it to porn every night.

probably the ones that shows/movies try to present as unconditional love, or couples that are made up of super successful people that encounter minimum setbacks and afford ridiculous things, yet are supposed to be either relatable or something to aspire to. you see a lot of these in CW shows, which i love, but still.

I think the more pertinent question is what movie relationships made perfect sense.

I am in "way back" mode and re-watching "Burn Notice". I am not Michael Weston, although I have some skills. My "Fiona" is Lynda and she is a crazy, psycho-bitch and we are a match.

I am a big Game of Thrones fan. I think Arya is the only interesting girl of the lot but she is a third my age so that gets rather creepy. (Plus, she will not age well)

But it would be hilarious if Brianne would make Jaime Lanister her bitch! lol
