Why do we just assume, especially women, that we are equal and that women are somehow just as capable as men.

I don't assume that my sex as a whole is automatically as capable as the male sex. That's preposterous, especially because there's far too much of a spectrum in both instances. I do know that individual men and individual women can each obtain the same results if they work hard in most instances. However, there are a lot of people, regardless of sex, who want handouts or are lazy fuckers.

Without gender quotas, laws that benefit women, additional government spending, Duluth model, divorce laws, and government programs, woman wouldn't even be half able to live up to the potential of men.

I am physically a female, and have never once made use of these programs.

Duluth model? Have never been in a situation where my SO got violent, because we're both rational adults who know it is disgusting to fight your loved one.

Laws that benefit women? I've never committed a crime, so have never gotten a lighter sentence. I disagree very much with the concept of a male-mandatory Draft, so I registered when I turned 18 alongside my male friends.

Gender quotas? Nope, I am 1 of only 2 females at my job. Everyone else is male.

Divorce laws? Heh...well, as you can see by my flair, I'm pro-MGTOW and do not think men should get married precisely for this reason. As such, I also would never get married because that is hypocritical.

Government programs/spending? I've never needed Welfare, and don't approve of asking for charity if you have no true need of it. In college, I was offered a $2,000 scholarship for being a female in a business program, but since I don't consider myself a woman I declined it. If I was born as the sex I want to be, it wouldn't have been offered it, which is sexist. I want nothing to do with that.

Despite having a vagina, none of these things you describe have made my life easier, because I refuse to use them. I do not require any additional help reach my potential. Indeed, I think that asking for help that a similar man wouldn't receive is admitting that you aren't up to the task. Once again, I refuse to admit that, because it isn't true.

Hell its not even that, its just bringing the men down so we can be "equal" to woman.

Pffft, ha! Everyone in the office, my male coworkers included, enjoys the air conditioning. Likewise, when we're all out in the warehouse doing the physical part of the job, we all miss it...just like we'll all be freezing our asses off in the winter and miss the heat of the office. That's what the job entails though, so suck it up, buttercup.

I'd mostly like to hear how these advantages contribute to advancing women academically and economically in ways that are unfair to men, as you are claiming.

Because, until really recently, women were hamstrung by their biological function as incubators of the next generation. Climbing the corporate ladder, fighting off a drunken brute of a husband or even being able to hold down a job is much harder with a baby at your breast. Until we reach a place where women aren't expected to do the bulk of the unpaid caring and childraising in our society, allowances need to be made to rectify the inherent disadvantages of this.

I think they are potentially as capable as men but they lack the same drive of men. when they're young and pretty they don't need to provide anything really valuable besides being themselves and when they start aging it's already too late to change the trend.
as a male, you know since early puberty that you need to do something and provide something valuable to attract the opposite sex.

The truth is, they aren't, but not out of any innate thing which makes women inferior to men, but instead out of systematic oppression (of power) and socialization which effectively initializes a large portion of women, making them second guess themselves when they shouldn't, lack confidence, not pressuring them at key moments in their life, ect.

One method to pacify this under the liberal view is to counter balance this and give women systematic advantages, hoping that in the long term this solve the problem. There is some extent in which this helps, but it doesn't solve the problem at its root. If you really want to solve this problem, you need to get rid of the systematic sexism against women.

This is why I hate all those programs and quotas. I'll never know if I've achieved and earned something or if it's just been given to me because they had to fill a quota.

But anyway, women on average are probably not as capable as men in the sense you're talking about. I don't know if they couldn't be, but they just aren't as it is. But that doesn't say much about how does an individual woman score against an individual man.

Whether we'll eventually catch up as a gender... I don't know and I don't care. I don't think women will want to catch up because we're generally doing better. We get shorter hours, get to spend time with our children and friends, get to spend time with our partners, we still earn some money and command some respect for our position, but we also have time for things and people we enjoy. I don't think a lot of women have the kind of ambition to throw that away for, as long as you allow us not to. Some do, but most don't.
