Considering the existence of subs like /r/CreepyPMs and all the complaints about "creepy" guys, don't you think it's at least a little hypocritical when men are still societally expected to make the first move and initiate everything?

As a woman, you have to look decent and wait to be approached. As a man, you have to put yourself on the line and risk rejection, humiliation and abuse. Shouldn't we be a bit more lenient towards guys, even if they sometimes don't have the right approach?
