Q4 Women: How do you think men talk to each other in all-male groups?

One frequent criticism of TRP is the derogatory tone and rough language. The fact that women are repeatedly referred to as "whores" or "sluts" or "scum", etc., is used to argue that TRP is mostly just men talking about how much they hate women. Why else would red pillers use such language if they didn't hate women?

The best TRP answer to this is "it's locker room talk," but I think this explanation is undersold. I don't think women fully understand how profane, crass, and rude men can be when they're just hanging out with the guys. Among other men (provided they aren't complete strangers) it's completely acceptable to talk repeatedly -- even to make running, years-long jokes -- out of increasingly elaborate descriptions of how a guy would like to have sex with each and every one of his friend's female family members. It's completely acceptable to make a contest out of finding increasingly disrespectful ways to refer to women (broad/floozy/skank/whore/slut/bitch/cunt/"lady of the night"). It's completely acceptable to talk about a woman's struggles or incompetency (for example, a female coworker) in a manner that insists much of her failure is due to her being a woman, not simply being untrained or ignorant. All of this is par for the course, and even if some men in the group aren't actively participating in it they laugh right along with everyone else. Part of this stems from men generally using insults as a way to bond, and part stems from how easy it is to create a laugh through shocking or offensive language, but whatever the reason this is just how guys talk around each other.

And I didn't grow up in an especially patriarchal environment, or an environment that's particularly hostile towards women. I grew up near a decent-sized city in an area that often supports Democratic candidates and went to a liberal university. I didn't seek out any particular group of men, either -- I've seen the same sort of locker room talk (to varying degrees) in just about every male-only group I've been a part of. This includes actual locker rooms, fraternities, groups of male coworkers who hang out after work, groups of male friends, golfing buddies, everything. Plenty of these are educated guys with girlfriends and wives, too; it's not as if the phenomenon is limited to backwards guys who suck with women. It's everywhere, because this is just how guys talk around each other.

So women -- how do you think guys talk to each other in all-male groups? Do you think the tone of TRP is really that different from what you'd hear if you could be a fly on the wall around a few good male friends drinking beer and watching football?
