RPers will often claim that TRP is a reactionary response to gynocentrism and a modern culture that lacks positive identity for men. I personally think this hold some legitimate weight when I think of biased divorce and family court, paranoid "rape culture" that demonizes all men, young boys growing up without positive male role models while being raised by incompetent single moms who don't know how to raise boys so that they become MEN and not emasculated, timid manchildren, etc. BPers on the other hand will tell you that there are no fundamental problems with society and that RPers are just a bunch of butthurt losers that have always existed but are only now more loud and visible due to the internet.

So which is it? Is TRP the result of legitimate social issues or is it just a platform for all the supposed butthurt losers coming out of the woodworks to vocalize their grievances and shouldn't be taken seriously?

Discuss.
