I grew up predominantly in Asian cultures. I can give some insight, though specific to Chinese and Cantonese women.

The submissiveness aspect comes wholly through their culture. Strip that away and you have a hypergamous, shit-testing woman that wants the best things in life for herself. Just like any other woman.

That said, they are huge into maintaining their culture, particularly Cantonese culture. Unless they were born in the West, it's almost assured that they consider all elements of their culture important. Said culture demands that they stay off the CC, marry a high value beta bux early-ish in life and never, ever divorce. Chinese and HK women also have amongst the highest IQ's, which is correlated with low-divorce risk.

The problem now is that Western influence has seriously infected that culture. Parents encourage their daughters to become highly successful career women. CC-riding isn't an issue to Westernized Asians. In China, because of the lack of males and lack of masculinity you get the rawest form of hypergamy. That's where Princess Syndrome comes from. That's their true natures, not the submissiveness.

Women are only submissive to a much higher value man, or if it's instilled in them since adolescence. It's not the default behaviour in women towards the average male.

Problem here is with confusing Chinese with Asian, Chinese have always been very pride centered. The concept of face (how you appear to others) has always been there. I'm a very removed (~5 generations), but of chinese descent, and I remember my parents talking about the concept of face from their parents/grandparents.

This concept is shared with the northern asians: China, Korea, Japan who are really concerned with pride (and the things that it entails such as superficiality and racism heh).

Southern Asians (Malaysia/Philippines/Vietnam) tend to be more sincerely hospitable and traditional.

I'm a white guy and haven't lived in asia before 2009, but I never found asian women to be objectively more submissive than European women.

I have never been to the US, but the majority of all american girls I've met were entitled cunts with huge attitudes, so americans have it worst I guess.

I have lived all over asia and would say women of chinese descent tend to be the biggest shit testers and least submissive.

In south east asia you'd have to go to the countryside imo to find a traditionally submissive girl, with you being able to speak the lingo and in Japan only traditional women tend to be submissive, which are almost inaccessible to foreigners.

I would say submissiveness can be attributed to low education and low to no income opportunities + upbringing.

Big city girls in Thailand for example tend to be good at faking submissiveness because they're looking for a provider and it's sort of expected, but once she thinks you won't leave her easily, she'll quickly try to get the upper hand in the relationship, just like her western counterparts, because they can make a (bad) living by themselves and don't rely on you completely.

I suppose the stereotype dates back to times when the majority of asian americans were poor first generation immigrants with traditional family structures and the women having a lot more respect for white men back then too.

The change from submissiveness to entitled cunts can be blamed on modern capitalism, in which women have similar opportunities - with those of chinese descent leading the equal income rankings.

The more money a woman makes, the less respect she has for men that earn similar amounts and the longer she feels that she can hold out for mr. perfect multi millionaire.

I see the "wisdom" on here frequently that if you're looking to increase you chances for a successful relationship, you should date/marry Asian women. Interestingly, this 2008 study On interracial relationships found that couples with a white-male/Asian-female are actually more likely than white/white couples to get divorced. It's only a 4% increase in likelihood, not a statistically significant amount, but the Asian wife is definitely not the superior substitute for western women a lot of people seem to think it is. Just more ammo for "the never get married" camp.

Side note: that study also found that the couples with some of the lowest divorce rates were white-male/black-female. This seems counter-intuitive but I would guess that it's the smv inherent difference.

It's slightly different to the rest of Asia because of most o the girls who live there. They are surrounded by incredible wealth - it's a tiny island, flash cars and flats everywhere. In the US, only about 5% of the population is asian so I think a lot of people fall back on old pop culture clichés without realizing it. American GI's brought back a lot of of geisha girl anecdotes from the post-WWII occupation of Japan. And movies from the 1950's forward that depicted asian women at all always showed them as demure soft-spoken little cherry blossoms except when they were shown as old mamasans enforcing traditional order.

I knew a lot of Phillipino women when I lived in the SF Bay Area and most of them are generally real ball busters. Rise of the middle class and the upper middle class means disposable income with it comes conspicuous consumption.

The one child policy in china hits the people with NO disposable income first, because as a man, you'd be more likely be able to support the parent. Thus you have males being born in increasingly low income to low middle class income families and there's not enough generational wealth going to men in these classes.

On the other hand, families WITH disposable income don't care if they have a girl because they know that they'll have savings of their own and won't worry of their future. So you have females being born on the upper echelons of society. That plus many, many, MANY men equals lots of choices for the princess. Couple that with the western lifestyle and you get entitlement. Now that by itself would be bad news, but not too bad because you still have a middle and upper middle class so cross class mating will happen especially when you have such a huge population.

The problem is that this absolute upper class still have old chinese traditions which means that most upper class families have male heirs. So in the pursuit of Alpha, you get middle and upper middle class looking at the lower upper class and the absolute upper class being the objective while the middle class guys get left behind. Since girls never date down.

And thus entitlement is born.

This is bad news for China because you have class segregation and if they really wanna flex their muscle as Asia's super hegemony then they'll need to nurture their middle class which'll be impossible if this keeps going and eventually you'll end up with the Japanese Herbivore men, except since China's communist, it'll be largely illegal. In that video the guy was acting like a bitch so the girl treated him like one. That would have happened much differently if he would have simply stayed standing and told her to behave or if he would have just left. You will have to stand up for yourself and be dominant to any women if you want them to act right.

The difference I see between women of different cultures is how much they will argue with you if they try to act up. Black women will argue the most, you generally just have to leave and start talking to them again when they behave. American white women generally argue as well, but you can just state bluntly what you want and they'll generally behave, if not just leave and they'll be apologizing and texting you as soon as you shut the door. Asian women will act up but all you have to say is no. If she tells you to clean or help cook or whatever, just say "Gone chu" and they will instantly act right.

In my experience asian women tend to know how a man is supposed to act and how a woman is supposed to act. This makes it easier that you just have to point out she's not acting like a woman, however if you slip up, they have absolutely no problem pointing out that you are not acting like a man. For example if you aren't decisive, if you act like a pushover to someone else or if you don't stand up for yourself, asian women will be much less forgiving and lose respect for you much quicker.
