I've written before about this phenomenon and I'm going to simply repeat this :

The problem isn't that RP is extremist. I've argued before that if you compare moderate feminism to RP, and even radical feminism to RP, you will find that RP is more "moderate" in their beliefs than both. RadRPs want to ban women from voting (while giving credible arguments for), while RadFems consider Principia Mathematica a rape manual. The problem is that Overton Window is so far in the feminist's court that any mention of intersex relationship without giving lip-service to how oppressed/awesome women are is considered misogyny. I can advise a female friend about not trusting a husband surrounded by hot promiscuous women daily with "he's a man", but I cannot advise a male friend about not trusting a wife surrounded by hot men daily with "she's a woman". Whenever I take an approach to understanding men, I must either include women to counterbalance if results are positive in favour of men ("men are more good in X but that's because cultural patriarchy/women are better in Y") or be negative in my results ("men are shitty in X"). Whenever I take an approach to understanding women, I must either include men to counterbalance if the result is negative ("women are worse in X but that's because cultural patriarchy/men are shitty in Y") or be positive in my results ("women are swell in Y"). When tiptoing about intersex relationship in this manner, and trying to give advice while abiding by these insane rules, the advice will be cluttered with inane bullshit serving to mask some things that paint women/feminism in not so great light. What RP does is throw this entire bullshit out of the window, as well as any silly -ism that supports this worldview (hello feminism) because it understands that a system that supports this kind of thing is also a system that is inherently not fair to men. Why play the game where the rules state that any time you score, the opposite side gets the same amount of points, but not vice-versa? TRP seems insane but that's because you're looking at it through coo-coo lenses of coo-coo ideology. And do remember, feminism and more specifically gender "equal in favour of women because of reasons" is a relatively new phenomenon (50ish years, maybe 100), one that only springs when civilization is stable and prospering, not when civilization needs stability and prosperity.

Take for example, this conversation.

I mentioned that rape was a crime which is basically punished too mildly, but that women who do false rape cries are "dumb bitches" because they put innocent men into jails and negative social situations, as well as serve to point out those nasty MRA "rape apologists" right - diluting the meaning of rape till the public goes back to believing she had regret sex. I still stand on my position, and do consider women who do such a shitty act "dumb bitches", as I believe any sane person would. Instantly, I was asked to provide a comment in which I had similar hostility to men. Why do you think that was? This was a situation which could paint women (some, but folks don't make that distinction anymore) in a bad light - this must be counterbalanced with men being cast in a bad light.

Since TRP serves as a big fuck you to feminism and female "sexual revolution" by trying hard to pin point how easily to jump on CC and never in a marriage (maximize alpha fux, minimize beta bux), of course TRP is toxic. Of course it is muh soggy knee ist. TRP, by the virtue of not considering women sunshines and peaches, is muh soggy knee ist.

Now, why this phenomenon happens?

The left, gravitates towards dissolution of legal and cultural norms which would naturally build a hierarchy - starting first from legal discriminations, to trying to undo cultural discrimination (like the sexual revolution of 60s/70s). The left is constantly moving left. The right, for that matter, does not exist (as reaction died a long time ago) as a counterforce. The right which you now see is conservativism. It conserves whatever shit leftism made of prior civilization. It is stationary. The choice is either to move left, or to stand still. Naturally, things move left. And then conservatives fight to protect status quo. Today's radicals are tomorrow's conservatives. Radical feminists of 1900s were considered absorbed and part of cultural heritage during the 1950s. Radical feminists of 1950s are now considered part of cultural heritage. This can be applied to any leftist struggle, from Civil Rights movements to feminism.

And how does the left silence the right? With censorship. Left cries for free speech until it gets in power then it stops it. Hate speech is especially useful with this new generation of snowflakes who need safe spaces anywhere - pointing out shitty thing women can do to abuse the system is misogyny, pointing out racial differences in crimes is racism, pointing out the rape epidemics that usually follows Muslim immigrants is islamophobia. The conservatives, who are concerned with being called raycis and muh soggy kneeist, instead of holding ground and being equally disgusting as the left, instead castrate themselves to prove that they're not racist or hate women. The surprise? Left keeps calling them such.

Leftist ideas, ideas which are not grounded in reality, naturally take place in academia of social sciences, where ideas do not have to be reflective of the real world to work. By creating a really rush about getting a diploma, folks suddenly wanna get in. Everyone wants a diploma. But the thing is, college is hard. Especially STEM. So not everyone can do it. People then form Women's Studies, Gender Studies, Hodor Studies where you don't have to derive Poiseuille's law from Navier-Stokes equation, but complain about Patrarchy and evil white racism for not providing noble oppressed brown-kin with everything they want. Since nobody can do anything with a degree in feminism, but teach feminism, the bubble goes on and on. Suddenly, there's a market of dumb, but trying hard to be intellectual upper white class (this means MONEY) boys and girls. What does the free market do? Provide!

So now you've got the self perpetuating radicalization bubble made possible by academia and media, and nothing to counterbalance this horde, since all criticisms of it are pretty much silenced to the best case possible.

But it oh so sometimes happens that multicultural gender equal utopia is not that utopian, and pretty much impossible. Folks who point out that marriage, patriarchal class institution, suddenly became (thanks feminism!) a shackle for men who now have to settle for used women past their prime and can easily rob them of their life's work in one instance (as opposed to through progressive taxes which go into subsidizing birth control for women and single moms and massive immigrant sanctuaries) are enemies of the regime. They're the heretics, the kulaks, the racist misogynist neckbeards. Suddenly, the guy who says "hey doods, race is not actually a social construct, and is a real biological concept which holds scientific merit" is now the same as the KKK klansmen who "pulls the trigger when he sees a nigger", so to speak. So of course TRP is toxic and misogynist. It would be toxic and miso-goy-nist even if it dropped all the hostility to women (a hostility which is, mind you, well placed) just by virtue of noticing feminism fail, and doing something other to it.

Fucking beautiful

[–]jacks10005 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

RadFems consider Principia Mathematica a rape manual.

I read that article.

That feminism is given anything but a laugh is a testament to how well our society treats women.

Even when these silly feminists pull things like this out of their ass - or make up elaborate rape fantasies about blonde frat boys gang-raping them - we go out of our way to humor them and cater to them.

What's astonishing is that they never seem to object to how people patronize them. I'd be outraged, personally, but I guess they just don't get it.

[–]amoebacake1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I actually enjoyed reading what you wrote, your analysis of left and right was insightful. I would argue though, widespread criticism of hate speech is not censorship. I see no threat to freedom of speech based on the examples you gave. No one suppresses your rights just by calling you out on what you say.

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's a convenient way to social ostracize people who notice stuff. It's only going to grow more and more pervasive.

For example consider the following :

For the most part, I am a hard-core defender of freedom of speech and science. But research on race and intelligence—no matter what its conclusions are—seems to me to have no redeeming value. Far from it. The claims of researchers like Murray, Herrnstein and Richwine could easily become self-fulfilling, by bolstering the confirmation bias of racists and by convincing minority children, their parents and teachers that the children are innately, immutably inferior…

But since I'm European, different standards apply. By making one form of hate speech illegal you are infringing on the right for free speech. Especially when you have cases where people are jailed over offensive tweets (hello GB!).

[–]amoebacake0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't usually click on external links but what I got from your snippet was a criticism on studies wanting to correlate race with intelligence. Are you inferring that the people wanting to do these studies were ostracized by the scientific community?

Very different experience where I live. I'm curious, what form of hate speech is illegal where you're from? What kind of offensive tweets were people jailed over?

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I really really do recommend reading it. It's one of articles I bookmarked and put in my special folder.

Are you inferring that the people wanting to do these studies were ostracized by the scientific community?

Yep. Just look at Watson fiasco.

What kind of offensive tweets were people jailed over?

This for example, was back from a while ago. I also have a list of this kind of things (UK,France,Germany) which I will try to locate as soon as I can.

This was a situation which could paint women (some, but folks don't make that distinction anymore) in a bad light - this must be counterbalanced with men being cast in a bad light.

it doesn't need to be counterbalanced with men being put in a bad light if you don't think of men in a bad light (as often as you think that way about women, or some women). i was just curious if your vitriol was gender neutral, i.e. you go off on, degrade men as often as you do women. if not, does that mean you think women, or some women, are more hateable than some men. if women are not worse than men and yet you more often attack/degrade women, then your behavior does not reflect reality. if you actually think they are worse, then at least you are consistent. it just becomes a question of whether your reality is accurate or distorted/inaccurate.

your delusion/radicalization bubble argument could very well describe the trp hivemind.

It would be toxic and miso-goy-nist even if it dropped all the hostility to women (a hostility which is, mind you, well placed) just by virtue of noticing feminism fail, and doing something other to it.

i think you revealed your true hostility to women here. do you think women are pulling the strings of society more than men? or is the issue you have that women should not have any influence on things, i.e. only men should pull the strings of society?

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

it doesn't need to be counterbalanced with men being put in a bad light if you don't think of men in a bad light (as often as you think that way about women, or some women).

You say this, but you do not mean this. I do not know if this is conscious deception or unconscious cognitive dissonance.

i was just curious if your vitriol was gender neutral, i.e. you go off on, degrade men as often as you do women.

My vitriol is gender neutral, at injustice. In instances where injustice is done by members of particular gender, it will be directed at those same members. Or do you deny that women who cry rape when no rape occurred are doing no injustice whatsoever? But what you assumed, and something that links immediately within you, is that vitriol at injustice some women do, is vitriol at women in general. It's slippery slope fallacy taken to the extreme of extremities.

So my point stands. You asked if I was that angry at men who do injustice. I answered yes. I even provided you with statement.

Any portrayal of women in bad light must necessarily put men in bad light also, by default, or it is misogyny. Singular examination of only women, an examination that is more accurate, with all their bad stuff, is a big no-no. Imagine if we asked for such universal approach to everything - a chemist must know all about Schroedinger's equation or he's physicsophobic, an ornithologist must know all about fishes or he is misikhtic. Such a way of stifling inquiry is very efficient when your goal is female dominance.

your delusion/radicalization bubble argument could very well describe the trp hivemind.

Certainly it could! Yes TRP is not a power movement. It does not infect academias. It is not completely divorced from reality, often than not using actual science in explaining. It is not subjected to the same thing because to TRP, reality is the key. It cannot be radicalized, and it cannot be delusional. TRP is pragmatic, ideas surrounding reality. Leftisim is idealist, reality surrounding ideas. The problem with TRP is that leftist ideas are incompatible with reality, and since TRP ideas are compatible with reality, TRP ideas and leftist ideas are incompatible with each other. A paid clown once said that "reality has a liberal bias". The truth is, liberal's reality has a liberal bias, the sad thing is that the liberal's reality grows more and more detached from actually reality with each passing day.

i think you revealed your true hostility to women here.

I noticed that TRP has hostility to women. It is well placed. Women are unaware of the extent of things men would do to gain their favour. They do not understand their worth. Detached from actual reality, and online, women lose majority of their privileges. Stating "I'm a woman hear my perspective" is not a decree that female's perspective is valid or useful, but an attempt to attention whore to the max. A woman who ushers these words just wants her woman privilege back. Women/Feminism infect male spaces, until they cater to them, and only to them. Since reality cannot be changed, men must change reality to cater to women, thereby sacrificing additional energy that would they use to achieve whatever was the primary goal of the male space in question. In academia, things are watered down so that women may participate. In work force, imaginary and useless places are created to support women (like human resources and gender equality cadres).

TRP is right to bar women from itself.

Further on that, RPW is more than justified banning men from RPW. It happened more than once that a wild TRPer came upon RPW and encouraged women to act like plates, which is best case scenario for men, worst case scenario for women. Men and women do not have each other's best interests at hearts, only their own.

i don't think this. but if someone is always dissing women and not or rarely dissing men, i will wonder if they are a misogynist. unless you want to make the argument that women are worse than men, you are definitely a misogynist. if you want to make that argument than you are only a misogynist if your assertion is incorrect.

Certainly it could! Yes TRP is not a power movement. It does not infect academias. It is not completely divorced from reality, often than not using actual science in explaining. any group of people can be delusional. your notion that trp is immune to being delusional is ridiculous.

ok

Women/Feminism infect male spaces, until they cater to them, and only to them.

examples? specifically the 'only to them' statement.

tell me more about this obsession with male spaces? sounds like you are implying that academia and the work environment are males spaces and women don't belong in them?

Men and women do not have each other's best interests at hearts, only their own.

this is just divisive thinking. does this argument extend to people of different races? i think you are projecting your own selfish perspective on others when the reality is not everyone is selfish in fact cooperative tendencies are a key part of human evolution. http://press.princeton.edu/titles/9474.html i don't think it's a coincidence that trpers romanticize backwardness (dark enlightenment, caveman game) because to become more selfish (as trpers desire) we would have to regress.

i don't think this.

Your posting history disagrees.

i don't think this about you per say as i don't know your whole posting history or even if you call yourself a trper. i do think this about anyone who would call themself a trper (and understands trp).

[–]Villaintine╰▄︻▄╯6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So anyone who identifies with a group regardless of your knowledge of that person gives you an entirely accurate image of that person. And blupers soil their panties over AWALT being too much of a generalization. Your thinking on this is in alignment with the same types of thinking that leads people to classism and racism. I know it's exceedingly difficult as a women but try to step out of the feels and check your blatant hypocrisy.

[–]taiboworksrational idealism > toxic egoism-3 points-2 points-1 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

a group with basic strategies and views that involve degrading and using women, yes (again i added that caveat that they must understand trp). i would have similarly negative views to women who were members of certain radical women's groups that think all sex is rape or all men are abusers/evil.

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I don't think this

The most you've seen on me is shitting on feminism and abusive women. But as I've said, your feminized (as in derived from feminism, not women) thought process automatically links it to hatred of all women. I've been called out before for being EC on RP, but post that made me EC is the one in which I praise a woman's nature.Just a quirk, posts that got me points (the number thingy next to names) are not necessarily those that make you EC. If you want, but please don't make me trudge through my comment history, please!, I'll find it and retrieve it for you.

someone is always dissing women and not or rarely dissing men, i will wonder if they are a misogynist.

Let's flip the genders. If someone is always dissing men and not or rarely dissing women, I will wonder if they are misandrist. Does constant criticism of men and male nature remind of you a certain politically motivated ideology? Like feminism?

Besides, truth is true even if someone you dislike says it.

any group of people can be delusional. your notion that trp is immune to being delusional is ridiculous.

A delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. Negating reality is crucial part of delusion. Something that is pragmatic cannot negate reality, by definition of it. TRP, being a sexual strategy sub, must constantly be pragmatic, otherwise it's not really shitty strategy. Hence, TRP cannot be delusional - if TRP is delusional then it is not pragmatic and if it is not pragmatic then its methods won't work and men will abandon it. X cannot be both pragmatic and delusional.

Unless you want to make a case that TRP is not pragmatic. Then you should start a thread where we shall in-depth discuss do the TRP methods work or not, IRRELEVANT OF MORALITY.

examples? specifically the 'only to them' statement.

Academia safe spaces, for example.

tell me more about this obsession with male spaces?

Creating a male only space enables men to fraternize with other men without the friction which is generated when women are involved. Men go bananas over women. Ditto for the female space. By bashing male spaces, they are both stopping men from gaining any social organization (thereby gaining power over them) and infringing on the freedom of association.

implying that academia and the work environment are male spaces

It is true that historically speaking, most of academics were men. It is also true that most of hard science academics, like STEM, will always be men. It is true that women's jobs are those who are imaginary and nigh useless places (gender equality cadres).

But, I do not see fit to forbid women from academia and work. What it should be forbidden to do, is to tailor academia/work around women, instead of women around academia/work - something which most women do. (Selective) Obsession with workforce equality is one of examples of this. Imagine a company which invests Y to build X. Now, company is under pressure to hire more women - and with it comes the sexual "harassment" seminars, gender equality, blah blah blah, additional costs should the woman desire a child, etc. Now company must invest Y to cater to women, and to build X - now it can only build a fraction of X at the same cost of investment.

does this argument extend to people of different races?

It most certainly does! Jayman has EXTENSIVE series about HBD of certain races and peoples, and creates a believable basis for the modern world around it.

To give you the gist, manorialism in Europe selected for not-clannish, outbreeding (as opposed to inbreeding) people who as a result, have a higher IQ and higher tendency towards charity to people not related to them. Note that this is not something exclusive to "white" people - as only a small fraction of "white" people are those who posses such tendecies - Scandis (you know the guys who take tons of immigrants at the cost of economy and prosperity), Brits (the guys who conquered half the world through trading), French and Germans (the guys who invented like, everything). Slavs and Spaniards and Italians do not go here.

If you trace the ethnic distribution of crime in immigrants, you will notice a pattern. If you want and/or have time you should check out the video I gave you - password is "hjernevask". I promise it will be worth your time.

cooperative tendencies are a key part of human evolution

Certainly! But if you notice that crimespeak you made now, human evolution - not all humans evolve the same way. Some humans may possess more cooperative tendencies than others! Be careful with that.

TRPs, DE

It's a hawk-dove game. Doves build cooperative societies, hawks only take. Feminism was what started the whole thing - traditional societies of Western Europe (not multicultural modern ones) are those high trusting and highly cooperative - diversity correlates with less trust. Feminism tried to upset the balance, it did, and continually does. Under feminized society, men can be doves while women can be both doves and hawks. TRP is men realizing that being doves doesn't work anymore. DE is realizing that those of liberal tendencies who import third worlders DO NOT COMPROMISE, they only take and take.

Socially progressive people are those who are in fact selfish, and DE is reaction to that - a reaction obsessed with exit (WE WANT TO LEAVE YOU, NOT RULE YOU). We have already regressed thanks to progressivism. DE and TRP is our way out, a way to purge ourselves of parasitic influence of leftism and feminism by refusal to play the game rigged from the start against you.

[+]taiboworksrational idealism > toxic egoism-6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

  • if TRP is delusional then it is not pragmatic

then i guess trp is not pragmatic because it is delusional. it's cynical of academia when the research contradicts trp and pro academia when the research seems to affirm trp. that's disingenuous, hypocritical, and delusional. true scientists don't have the certainty of simple minded trpers because scientists understand how little we know, that the pie of knowledge is increasing and new info could displace present beliefs. why do you think trp is so fond of terms like the dark enlightenment and cave man game? trpers are regressives, they want to turn back the clock to a simpler, more archaic time. they don't like progress, evolution. they dislike change, the unknown. they are failures in modernity and looking to blame anyone but themselves.

Creating a male only space enables men to fraternize with other men without the friction which is generated when women are involved.

male to male friction causes war historically does it not?

It is true that historically speaking, most of academics were men. It is also true that most of hard science academics, like STEM, will always be men. It is true that women's jobs are those who are imaginary and nigh useless places (gender equality cadres).

ha, ok. you understand that change is the way of life. tons of things are different than they used to be. who your parents were, their class, used to matter more. we all used to use outhouses, it is bad that we don't anymore? was that better?

If you trace the ethnic distribution of crime in immigrants, you will notice a pattern. If you want and/or have time you should check out the video I gave you - password is "hjernevask". I promise it will be worth your time.

you are mistaking/conflating ethnic driven crime with poverty driven crime. poor people of all ethnicities are more likely to commit crime.

Socially progressive people are those who are in fact selfish

i feel like anyone that doesn't agree with you, you think is selfish, that's how blindingly self centered you are... that's how narcissism warps thinking. living in society means abiding the social contract, it means you get certain things (healthcare, roads, police, etc.) in exchange for others (following rules, paying taxes, etc.)

trpers are unhappy people blaming/projecting their unhappiness on external things (women, society, etc.). there is no system that would please a trper because they are organically unhappy people, clueless or in denial about their internal unhappiness.

and trpers are all about being parasites. plating is all about taking what you want without giving what the other person wants. and i would guess most trpers are not highly successful people because if they were they would be more attractive to women, and not have needed to resort to something like red pill in the first place. so, in true trp fashion, why not focus on self improvement, and not the trp tendency to blame society for your personal unhappiness/failures.

it's cynical of academia when the research contradicts trp and pro academia when the research seems to affirm trp.

Provide examples. There was one thread on TBP about a guy who took one evo psych course and attempted to debunk TRP. He ended up saying exactly everything like TRP, without the lingo.

And it is not up to you to judge if TRP is or is not pragmatic. If TRP methods work, TRP is pragmatic.

why do you think trp is so fond of terms like the dark enlightenment and cave man game?

There is an overlap between users of DE and TRP. They are not the same.

male to male friction causes war historically does it not?

Uh, how does that go against my exclusion of women from male spaces?

who your parents were, their class, used to matter more.

It matters still. If your parents were academics, there's a greater chance you will be one. Check out that video I gave you, and the HBD fundamentals of IQ. I gave you the sources.

we all used to use outhouses, it is bad that we don't anymore? was that better?

It is fallacious to think anything traditional is better. It is also fallacious to think anything modern is better. Traditionalism works because it is underpinned by perennialism - the belief that certain truths are true FOR ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. Any further differentiation between different traditions is cosmetics.

you are mistaking/conflating ethnic driven crime with poverty driven crime. poor people of all ethnicities are more likely to commit crime.

Nope. Certain ethnicities are more likely to commit crime.

The single best predictor of the violent crime levels in an area is the percent of Black or Hispanics, even more than income or education. The correlation between race and crime is 0.81, which is statistically "very strong"; the correlation between poverty and crime is only 0.36, which is statistically "weak." http://www.colorofcrime.com/colorofcrime2005.pdf

Again, see the video.

i feel like anyone that doesn't agree with you, you think is selfish, that's how blindingly self centered you are...

Nope. Scott Alexander does not agree with me, and I do not think he is selfish. Hypothesis disproven.

living in society means abiding the social contract, it means you get certain things (healthcare, roads, police, etc.) in exchange for others (following rules, paying taxes, etc.)

Socially progressives want to change social contract. Changing the contract is not abiding by it.

and trpers are all about being parasites. plating is all about taking what you want without giving what the other person wants.

Yes. Feminism started it first. Welfare state is redistribution of wealth from men towards women.

so, in true trp fashion, why not focus on self improvement, and not the trp tendency to blame society for your personal unhappiness/failures.

It is fallacious to think that those things are mutually exclusive.

you really think a white separatist organization is a good source for info?

the topic of crime and race is complex... http://cooley.libarts.wsu.edu/schwartj/criminology/Peterson_Krivo2005%5B1%5D.pdf

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

you really think a white separatist organization is a good source for info?

I never did get this kind of argument. Suppose someone has good info that X sucks backed with facts and statistics. He happens to be anti-X. Is he anti-X because he has good facts that X sucks, or does X suck because he is anti-X is something we can easily scrutinize! Are the facts good, statistics sound? If yes, then he has a valid reason to be anti-X.

Consider white separatism. If it is true that crime correlates with race, then white separatism makes sense.

But to humor you:

In 1995, among the American poor, there were 16.3 million Whites (real ones), 10.0 million Blacks, 8.6 million "Hispanics," and 1.4 million Asians. Blacks comprised about 27.6% of the American poor. Those poverty numbers can be verified at http://www.census.gov/population/estimates/nation/intfile3-1.txt http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/poverty/pov95/povest1.html

During that year, Blacks committed about 54% of all US murders. Remember that the FBI, from whom the murder information comes, counts "Hispanics" as "Whites," making the total number of poor persons eligible to be committing murders as "Whites" about 24.8 million. These "Whites" comprised 68.5% of the American poor, but committed - at most - only 46% of 1995 US murders, if we make the doubtful assumption that Asians and Amerindians committed none. The evidence argues against the liberal hypothesis that poverty causes crime.

[–]taiboworksrational idealism > toxic egoism-5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

the question is then are there variables other than poverty AND race that explains the crime stats. a white separatist researcher is likely not going to look for other variables. the article i linked discusses some of the other variables.

There are reasons, but these aren't the right reasons in my opinion.

Most redditors are American college kids who have been mentally castrated by feminism. They think objectifying women is wrong. They think you can't generalize women, because everybody is a special snowflake. They think that if you say "women like assholes, not nice guys" you're an entitled bitter neckbeard. Any negative judgement of women is not permitted. They think hating the whole population (misanthropy) is okay, but hating half of it (misogyny) is wrong.

I remeber an album which showcased "horrible" things said by terpers. Most of them weren't even bad. One of the post was a joke saying that a red pill woman is "June Cleaver without a gag reflex". Is that what passes as misogyny nowadays? Men can't express their preferences, can't have fantasies? Can men even be heterosexual anymore?

The reaction to "the sexodus" is amusing, feminists say that men who don't see value in dating women are "misogynists". Because now you're required to appreciate women, even if they don't bring anything into your life? Maybe women should try to be valuable instead of demanding that men see value in them?

There's definitely misogyny and wrong generalizations on TRP, but TRP is so popular because it's one of the few places on reddit where men can talk like men and that just goes with the territory. I still take TRP over the "just treat women like human beings" feel good bullshit and moral outrage that you see everywhere else on reddit.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

hasn't the reaction to men choosing not to date been pretty much... indifferent? I feel like I haven't seen those men being called misogynist for their choices, at least not in the discussions I've seen here.

[–]AFormidableContenderPurple Pill Man7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are typically considering losers who everybody is happy is gone and saving women time, which is somewhat ironic.

[–]MisterGaribaldiYOUR FEELINGS AREN'T REAL1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If indifference is obsessively reading their blogs/subs and then making a numbered list of all their posts so they can make fun of them with other angry feminazis. If indifference was really what was going on TBP wouldn't even exist.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was talking specifically about the sexodus mentioned, not TRP in general; please read. the response to those men specifically has basically been that they're free to go if they want; it makes no difference either way. if that's what they want to do, more power to them. if they do it with a nasty attitude then sure, some of us might have something to say about that too. but in general, I havn't really seen anyone bashing them for that decision (attitude aside) or trying to change their minds.

[–]deepfriedcocaine0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I just meant that it's laughable how often people concern themselves with what others think of them. It seems pointless and weak to seek out someone else's validation unless they're a potential employer or something like that.

[–]AFormidableContenderPurple Pill Man2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Logically maybe, but it's human nature to seek acceptance. If you don't seek acceptance you're demonstrating signs of sociopathy and probably have psychological conditions.

[–]deepfriedcocaine-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Fair enough. Perhaps I can say that the extent to which people concern themselves with what others think of them is laughable. You can acknowledge the fact that we're products of our environment, and that other people help determine who we are, but letting that happen blindly is different. Part of what I like about my friends and family is that they don't seek out my validation and I don't seek out theirs—relationships seem more genuine that way.

[–]AFormidableContenderPurple Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Well, you're family has nothing to gain from your validation.

You're friends probably already earned your validation and vis versa. I agree some people care too much. I knew a girl who decided never to go to a restaurant again because a server asked her out. But, people do require validation. Without validation, there's no reason to believe you're worth anything and no indication you're actually not worth anything. The world would be a more complicated place.

[–]deepfriedcocaine0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You're friends probably already earned your validation

And I said that I appreciate the fact that they didn't actively seek it out; they just acted like themselves and we happened to share interests and get along, which is why I think our friendships are genuine.

But if someone insults me, why should I care what they think of me? Call me sociopathic, but concern to that degree sounds like a different psychological issue.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's caring what people think of you, and there is accepting whether something is true or not based on what others will think of you. I care what people who matter to me think of me as a person, but I don't determine my worldview based on how acceptable it is to polite society

Please enlighten me on what other constitutional amendments should be excised.

[–]DenswendThe Swiss Army Knife of Hate3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

There is no such thing as social progress or regress. Democracy, and its more extreme versions of universal suffrage are not objectively best forms of governments by a long shot. Political freedom is an absurdity, it is not a freedom, it's the freedom to take freedom of others. Voting is an act of force, of violence. To give someone an opportunity to exact violence on others is not progress. Women are not entitled to voting by default.

The conflation of technological progress and social "revolutions" is idiotic. Both fascism and communism each had a version of science that is government approved. Current regime even tries hard to dismiss things that go contrary to the narrative of human equality - the intelligence of different races, the role of biology in upbringing, and that sort of thing. It is absurd to think feminized queer environment is needed to birth great men and women of science.

Now, you tell me why the current social "progress" is beneficial. Especially tolerance, racial brotherhood, desegregation, anti-racism.

Because all the evidence points to contrary. Anti-racism and folks who support it made possible the systematic abuse of 1400 Rotherham girls - why is that good? Racial brotherhood made it possible for rapes in Sweden to skyrocket, for ghettos and no-go zones to emerge in the Oslo and Malmo. Increased diversity correlates with less trust in communities, more crime. Immigrants everywhere bring only third world problems and are massive net loss for economy, money that could be spent into reaching for the stars, ending pollution, finding cure for cancer is now spent to support ingrateful people who only take and give nothing back. Racism saves lives. A girl who is racist and avoids ghettos in Sweden and England doesn't get raped and killed. Anti-racism deludes people into thinking that all the people who flee from the countries they themselves made horrible are somehow changed from the immigration that they assimilate instantly, and leave their raping and murdering ways behind.

Are we supposed to take that as a side effect of "diversity and cultural vibrancy", the good outweigh the bad? So tell me, why is progress - tolerance towards gays, Muslims, other races hostile to the native ones, feminists good?

Yeah, you're strawmanning. I didn't say it was popular, Im pointing out your definition of "most of reddit" is inaccurate. Youre saying that "most" of reddit hates TRP based on one post that was upvoted a number of times that is several less orders of magnitude than the total amount of people who use reddit.

You're arguing based on your perception of the perceptions of another relatively small group, which I might add, is heavily subject to selection bias, and conflating that with the collective opinion of a much larger group.

[–]HeNeverLies4Blue Pill Man[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What? If MOST of reddit found the red pill acceptable, popular, something that should be smiled upon, or positive, or however you wanna phrase it, why are red pillers told not to talk about it outside the sub? There is a lot of content on TRP that is just ridiculous. You have to remember that it's comprised of people aged 14-50 with different motivations, levels of education, levels of satisfaction in their loves, etc. It's a highly heterogeneous population, and does not operate as a hivemind.

If people are linked to particularly bad threads on The Red Pill, it's easy to walk away with the impression that it's a shit pit. Some examples that I've seen would include (summarized):

Everyone is a faggot except me

You should fuck people's wives

I woke my girlfriend up with unwanted anal sex to assert my dominance

Gay people are disgusting degenerates

All women are slaves to their pussies

It goes on. There is a ton of garbage written by people with no formal training in the very nebulous science of sociology and the result is that a lot of the 'truths' that are 'revealed' are basically just armchair philosophy and speculation.

That said, there is the occasional undeniable truth that is discussed on the forum and some of it ought to be taken seriously. Some examples:

Family and divorce court massively favor women

Simply being a 'nice' but otherwise bland man will not get you laid

Feminism is frequently dishonest in its rhetoric

Rape and domestic violence are much more gender-neutral issues than as commonly perceived

Are the generalizations unfair? Not really. Most of the active RP population are self-aggrandizing or otherwise annoying to some degree. But that doesn't mean there isn't some good content.

Let's break this shiz down:

Do you members of TRP believe that most of Reddit thinks that TRP is toxic, misogynist and misleading for no reason? Or is there a reasonable, logical and practical explanation for this phenomenon?

Hilariously, I think that TRP does a better job of painting a picture of women as human beings than feminism ever has (despite being "the radical notion that women are adults!") The reality is that women have certain foibles as a part of being human-- they're selfish, they're manipulative, they're careless about the feelings of others. No big deal.

The trouble is that the feminist culture we live in has painted this image of women as victims, and it just isn't nice to salt that victimhood wound by pointing out the inalienable fact that women, as a group, exhibit certain behaviors that do not serve our culturally agreed-upon moral virtues (selflessness, honesty, empathy, etc)-- this gives people a sad. The sad unfortunately seems to result in the end of any discussion in favor of defensive allegations of "WOMEN HATERS!" and "MISOGYNY!"

So, yeah. The fact that having one's foibles called to attention results in a defensive response should come as a shock to nobody. As for whether these allegations "against" women are fair or accurate... weeeeeell, that's a debate we'll never be able to have in earnest until folks can knock it off with the "misogynyyyyyy!" boo hoo.

Are the members of TRP at fault for this? If not who is?

Yeah, I guess. In as much as a person is at fault for any resistance he/she experiences as a response to his/her unpopular opinions. For the mostpart, those who've really accepted TRP don't really care what "most of Reddit" thinks-- they've chosen to live their truth (god that's a cheesy fuckin expression), even if it costs them some popularity points. At any time, if TRP isn't working for them, they're certainly welcome to try out a new set of ideas-- we don't excommunicate anyone.

And are these generalizations unfair?

TRP is largely unconcerned with what's fair-- a large part of swallowing the pill is recognizing that life was never meant to be fair, and never will be, and how to best serve your purpose/ideology with this in mind.

If you're asking whether they're accurate, then I'd have to say it depends on your definitions of "toxic" and "misogynist", which are both pretty nebulous terms. If generalizations about certain unflattering qualities that are exhibited by a group of people constitutes a "toxic" or "misogynistic" attitude, sure, it's accurate.

[–]jacks10004 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Most of reddit" is like, the very last people that anyone should care about.

Basically - NO - "most of reddit" probably doesn't even know about TheRedPill. In fact, the terms "toxic" and "misogynist" - as used by people like you - are essentially meaningless, just used by radical ideologues to complain about men that are saying something not worshipful to women.

In fact, ideological, left-wing, looney-tunes feminists say that masculinity itself is "toxic" - which is rather ironic, coming from women involved in a political movement dedicated to hating men.

People think its mysoginistic because trp takes concepts that would be controversial on their own and states them in the harshest, meanest, most provocative language possible. This ends up attracting tons of posters with no real interest in self improvement or seduction who just want to talk shit anonymously. Supposedly they are "venting" but it looks more like stewing in negativity to me.

Hi. I am Archwinger. I am an endorsed contributor at r/TheRedPill.

All women everywhere are stupid cunts, with no exceptions.

This is representative of the entire manosphere. We all hate women because they're stupid and inferior.

Please cite this throughout reddit.

Well said.

Its pretty much the same sort of disagreement this atheist has with religion. A vast majority of the world's population believes me to not only be wrong but everything from merely immoral to actively Evil with a cap-E.

They're wrong, and I can live with their believing me to be the wrong one. My philosophy isn't determined by Majority Rule.

Most people think TRP is toxic, and misogynistic because most people think reality is toxic and misogynistic, and racist, and classist, and everything else. People are averse to realistic thinking, and most people, find the nature of sex, even their own sexual nature offensive by definition, including women. In fact, given what TRP has to say about women I do not blame women for finding TRP toxic, or misogynistic. The issue, however, is that reality really doesn't give a fuck what you think it is.

This effect is exacerbated by the monopoly on public thought and social conscious Feminist ideals currently hav as the reality of nature, women, and men, even those not related to TRP, run in direct opposition to most Feminist theory.

That's not to say TRP is 100% correct. I believe TRP because it's the most realistic, practical and best explained demonstration of socio-sexual behavior and thought that I've yet encountered, and if someone can produce a better one, I'm all ears, but regardless, people tend not to like ideas that go against the grain. Everyone told Galileo he was an asshole too.

I think the West is overly sensitive towards women.

I think its a product of societies ever increasing ability to interact with others.

Let me lay this out here:

As humans gather into groups, we start gaining a group voice. Subreddits are great examples of this. Naturally over time groups of people develop cultures. There are taboos, and as a group they define morals within their society that adhere to what they as a collective group believe in. Anyone who disagrees are either ostracised or leave the group of their own volition, or change their morals to better 'fit in'.

This is basic sociology. So, TRP is the product of the fact that we, as humans, have started to form the biggest culture of all human history, one that covers literally the entire world. Internet culture, tinder, facebook, twitter, tumblr, 4chan, reddit... the list goes on and on, we as a species are becoming obsessed with interconnectivity and communications. Which makes sense, humans are a very very communication based species, its our primary source of survival.

Which is cool and all, but you get an awkward bit of a result from this. As you aggregate cultures of large sizes, it begins to subdivide into sub cultures, generally all the subcultures have general vague agreed upon morals and rules and laws, but they might have different interpretations of them.

But, here's the awkward part, most of the time subcultures all go by the same name. Feminism is a good example. Now if the culture is so massive the subcultures are so big they are the size of a normal culture, most people will begin coining names for them... feminazi is a great example.

Or another example is 'neckbeard', a term coined for a subculture of the 'nerd' culture... so on and so forth.

So, basically, TRP is a big culture, and its approaching the point of fragmenting into multiple subcultures, hell it probably already is. Feminism is going through this process so fast it hurts, to the point counter cultures are developing in response to this.

TRP is simply a counter culture to some facets of sub cultures within the feminism culture. It is so large and complex, like any other culture, its impossible to label it as anything in particular, since like every culture, it is diverse and varied in people.

I think its a little unfair, but not by much. I think it would help if they softened their tone but it not not my community and not my problem. I have no problem picking up up chicks, i would really rather be in an ltr but what eves. my point is that i am probably what terpers would call 'blue pill'. But blue pill is just as stupid as RP. Also it it pretty feminist in nature, so fuck that.
